Shoe throwing has become the new fad. Although, in the first case, it was because shoes are considered unclean (they touch the dirty ground). Here, he's just being a copycat douche.
And yeah, throwing objects are foreign leaders in NOT a good way to get your message out. It just makes you look like a shoe-throwing, copycat douche.

I doubt it is a good idea, I mean what will it archive? Will throwing the shoe make him change? No, will it do anything to change him from being the way he is? No? Then what was accomplished? If the shoe hit then it would have been a different story (*Cough* shoe thrower gets killed/tortured *Cough*.) It's not a good idea in a country where morals seem to disappear from time to time.....
