I've got a psychology project for school and I need a little data from people, so I'm turning to you people on the Escapist.

How many pairs of shoes do you own? This doesn't include flip flops or slippers (or crocs). Make sure to also mention your gender.

Personally, I see no reason to have more than two pairs; one for dressing up and one for everyday life. I only have two pairs of tennis shoes because one of them is on its way out...

Female, and I own a lot of shoes, but I don't wear any of them very often. There are around four pairs of shoes that are in regular rotation - my school shoes, a pair of running shoes, my Docs, and a pair of 'nice' shoes which I wear when I am required to. Which is surprisingly often, unfortunately.

8 pairs: 2 sneakers, 3 converse, 1 k-swiss, 1 nike, 1 pair of boots.

The sneakers are the only ones that I actually wear.
