Upon arriving at the tram Daniel had found it in rough shape, the magnetic rails beneath it caught in a series of fluctuations. It had taken some time to fix, but it was a job he had done many times on many different ships, and the problem was not particularly bad. Just a tweak here, and a few adjustments to the magnetic buffer panels...

Now the recently repaired tram gently glided to a stop at the Medical deck's station. Cautiously Daniel peered around at the rather normal looking station. Walking over to the glass windows of the waiting area, he saw nothing but the familiar sight of the worn synth-leather seats. Over to his left he saw a small flash of light, and looking over he noticed that the vending machine was still operational. He didn't have any credits with him but he knew a neat little trick that was excusable considering the circumstances. Tapping in a series of seemingly random selections on the holo-keyboard, the machine whirred for a moment before the screen changed to red and the selections morphed into debugging commands. He tapped one marked (LAST ENTRY), that would repeat the last order made as though it had been paid for and selected again, used to discover what had caused the potential malfunction. On a working machine however...with a musical ping the machine ejected a small can of medical gel, and the debugging console locked down. Clipping the can onto his belt, he walked over to the door to the medical atrium. Maybe the monsters have all gone off to somewhere else, a meeting or something Daniel thought with a smile.

The smile lasted as long as it took for the door to open, and the creature inside the atrium to turn around. For a moment they both stood there, man and monster, and then it let out an ear-splitting roar and ran full tilt towards him. Snatching up the plasma cutter he fired a trio of plasma arcs into the sprinting monster's chest. The plasma should have split it in two, would have if it were a man, but instead each caused it to stagger back with each hit. As the last impacted it roared again, until it was cut off abruptly by it's head exploding into a cloud of vaporized particles. This seemed to set something off, and without a sound the headless thing ran at him even faster, the scythe arms slicing at the air in front of it. Daniel was backed against the door, which suddenly refused to open. When the creature was only a meter away he tried to dash past it's side, almost succeeding before being caught in the side of the head by the back of one of it's eviscerating arms, thankfully not the sharp side but still hitting him like a bone baseball bat. Daniel was flung across the room, and when he slid to a stop he tasted blood from a bitten tongue. The creature had turned as soon as it had accidentally connected with his head, but seemed momentarily confused as to his location. Lifting his shaky arm once more, he fired a shot at the once-man's knee, hoping to prevent it from running at him. The effect was instant, and the sudden loss of a leg sent the thing falling down like a sack of bolts. Not even looking to see if it was dead, Daniel ran over to the unlocked door leading deeper into Medical, as the beginnings of a rather severe headache came on. Well I guess that showed me, didn't it? Let's hope that guy didn't bring his friends, because I am most definitely not in a partying mood. Wait...no more jokes till we're outta here, okay?

It's a little longer to get there but *groans* I think we can make it.

OOC: Sorry I didn't post for a bit...totally forgot there was a 3rd page...anyways, Chris Bryans is back :D

Chris, running for his life, tries his best to talk back, "It's spread? It seems I may have miscalculated its infection rate..." Noticing a glowing green panel, not far from him, Chris shouted, "I think I may have found an open room... Quick, in here!" As he got closer and closer, he noticed there was something oozing from beneath the doors, but seeing no other "safe" option, he placed his hand on the glowing panel and rushed the others in.

"I think I might know something" Ilundra put in.
"the infection seems to only begin spreading when the host dies so with me and walker infected If we die ..." Ilundra shudders and shakes the thought from her mind.
Looking around the room she quickly finds the source of the ooz
"shit! look at that."
Ilundra points to a large tube with one of the monsters halfway out of it.
"I think we found the cause of this epidemic."
upon further investigation she finds a bullet hole in the creatures head.
"I geuse they found it and wanted to analize it they must have thought a shot to the head would kill it, but then it thawed and must have infected the crew.
and of corse they were taken to medical and that is were the infection started right?
I think the ooz is just from the cryo tube to stop blood from freezing."

"Good idea. We'll need to get a general idea of what we'll be up against." "But before we head for the medical bay, we need to find weapons and get more ammo" Chris noticed that Joel was behaving in a strange manner, and being the nosy type, he just had to ask, "Joel, are you alright? You look sorta sick..."
