The shortest game i have ever played is most likely the flash game called You have to burn the rope [http://www.kongregate.com/games/Mazapan/you-have-to-burn-the-rope]

Won in about 30 - 45 seconds
On the other hand, do give it a try. It has a pretty neat completion song (kind of like "Still Alive" when you complete portal)

Oh damn, I was hoping no-one would say that so that I could say "No-one bought up YHTBTR?" I for one believe I finished it in about 15 secs. I was a bit frustrated by that, partly because I didn't bother to listen to the song in its entirety which actually is very good.

But I'm going off-topic.

Counting retail games, I'd have to call out Just Dance. I played probably one song before realising I looked like the biggest wanker's tool and gave up. Three minutes of badness is NOT GOOD GAME DESIGN!

Fucking wow, no-one has complained about how short MW2's campaign is yet. SO FUCKING SHORT, as with all COD games to some extent. Got 280 hours on multiplayer though, but only MMO's should rely on multiplayer as a selling point.

Of course, Portal. Pretty much anyone can do a 1-hour run of the game with a bit of practice.

totally, if you can remember even half of the puzzles you'll fly through it.

My friend saw a guy do a 7 minute run of portal, tho he used a glitch to bypass a bunch of stuff, so I don't count it.

Probably Portal, but I knew that going in so, Max Payne 2. I finished it the first time in one sitting but I still love it so hard it hurts.
