Someone may have already said it but Vanquish, but still the game is very arcadey (Not a real word) so its more about replaying it to beat your scores. But it still is about 3-4 hours.

Of course, Portal. Pretty much anyone can do a 1-hour run of the game with a bit of practice.
totally, if you can remember even half of the puzzles you'll fly through it.

My friend saw a guy do a 7 minute run of portal, tho he used a glitch to bypass a bunch of stuff, so I don't count it.
I do believe that even with using a metric f**kton of exploits, the world record for a portal speedrun is 10 minutes ;)
Ah, well I'm glad we have a measurement for that.

Loved [http://www.kongregate.com/games/AlexanderOcias/loved] (indie game)

It fucks with you, like the game director slapping you in the face. Multiple choices. It blew me away after I finished it.

I agree with Portal. Without the advanced and bonus challenges, that game is terribly short. I'm glad I picked it up off Steam when they were offering it free last year . . . I woulda been pissed if I had paid for such a short breeze through.

There's been an ongoing trend recently with short FPSes, though. I played through Modern Warfare 2 on veteran in a matter of a day (maybe about 6-10 hours, don't remember clearly) . . . and I'm not going to bring up Black Ops.

TBH, I think it has more to do with the mulit-platform development, console titles are known for being shorter in general compared to PC titles. The length of these games is fine on console, but comes across as being too short on PC, leaving us feeling jipped. Maybe it wouldn't be that bad if we got a little extra loving out of it - bonus maps and/or challenges, extended campaigns, etc. Devs used to do this kinda stuff when porting a title to PC . . . but not anymore.

Oh, well . . .

Huh, no one's been saying Half-Minute Hero for PSP. I mean, sure, you play it more for more unlocks and stuff, but the name is true. The actual game part is only 30 seconds each time you do it.

Infinity Blade on the iPhone, beat the Godking by bloodline 4.
Only took about 20 minutes ( most of that was un"speed"able cinematics)

Star Wars: The Force Unleashed series. The first was around 5-7 hours, the second ~4. You won't get all achievements in that time though.

Terminator: Salvation is also short as hell.

Hmm...probably House of the Dead: Overkill. Taking my time, I can beat in approximately 3 hours. Of course, I probably have played shorter, but I forget the title...
Considering the type of game it is, that's quite long...

I've never checked how long it's taken me to complete that game, but it was probably around that time.

The Path was pretty damn short. Managed to finish my first play through in 5 hours, counting the hour break that I took. Thankfully it's got a load of replayabilty.

well at leasst with portal you know its going to be relitivley short, before its popularity it was really just a fun little experiment more or less

nothing worse than being disapointed at a games story length, (F.E.A.R. 2 I felt was very short) unfortunatley its somwhat of a trent with some FPS whcih is a shame because its not like its a bad genre for telling great storys

Modern Warfare 2. It's why I dont like it. I actually finished it in less time that I finished Portal.

Star Wars: Republic Commando. It only took me three days to complete it (mind you I play it a few hours per day). It was a shame that it was so short since it was a very good game.

The Force Unleashed 2. My god, so damn short. There's four levels, FOUR!

Edit: Sorry, but I just can't stress how short the game was. It felt like I was just playing some kind of demo, not a real game. They need to wipe this game from existance and try again.

I played a game called Gungrave for the ps2 that was based on the anime. Finished it in about 3-4 hours. I really enjoyed the anime and i guess for the most part the game was ok.
