Well it's done, I bought it. I'll be back with another thread in a day's time complaining about the loading times. Until then, adieu.

If they insist on giving us a shitty ass port, then no, I would advice against this. I already made a thread about that. If either Sega or Platinum Games got lazy like Nintendo, that's good but it's their problem and their problem alone. Why should I have to put up with load times between inventories, saves and pauses? And for that matter, why should I get a game that looks like they poured half the sand of the American East Coast in the Blu Ray? I will save my money for Split Second and as much as I like Bayonetta, cause I get a stiffy when I see something original, Sega and Platinum can suck it.

If you have a 360, I'd buy if for that instead of the PS3.

But even if you don't, I would recommend it. While the loading in the game is an absolute BI-I mean, WITCH (there's literally loading for everything, even to fucking pause the game there's loading!) it's still a damn fine game that you can't really go wrong with.

This is from an Escapist article about the Bayonetta for PS3 problems: "Bayonetta developer Platinum Games has addressed the widely reported issues in the PS3 version of its game, assuring gamers that it did its best to make both versions of equal quality".

It's safe to assume that the porting from the 360 to the PS3 didn't go so well as it was developed on the 360 (probably cause developing for the 360 is way cheaper). But maybe 2 or 3 patches later it will be up to speed.

But yeah, if you have an Xbox 360 buy it for that. So much stuff will be happening on screen you won't notice the PS3's slightly better graphics.

Don't buy it for either and put your money towards a better game.
Well I got MW2 and Uncharted 2 with my PS3 at christmas and I don't really like either of them. I finished uncharted in nine hours and MW2 in eight. So I was going to sell them and get it for a ?10 anyway.

Aswell as that I have money aside for Mass Effect 2. Trust me, I have my calender of games set up for 2010 :p
I can tell your a single-player type of guy, then!

In that case, Bayonetta is one of the games you should get.

Sure, it seems to be a good game.

Hubilub likes it.
It's a damn good game.

ON ANY SYSTEM. Get it. None of reviews said that the PS3 version is unplayable, just inferior.

*goes to play it*

I've only played the demo on the PS3 but what was available looked and ran fine. There was a little bit of slowdown but not enough to ruin the experience. From what I've heard the problems aren't game-breaking, they just really stand out if you're contrasting it against the 360.

Theres no video game store where i live... so mines been in the mail for over a week and i cant wait... xbox version. I havent played it yet, obviously, but it cant be a bad game... and if you are as waistful with your money as me when it comes to game, that makes it worth a purchase :)

Listen to a Devil May Cry fan who bought this game full-price on the 360: rent it first. For the love of God, rent it first and make damn well certain you want to buy it before you make your purchase. If you can't rent it, wait for the price to drop. Drastically.

Bayonetta is a good game but it get very repetitive, if you like devil may cry you will love this game. Its a game that I can only play in bursts for about 2-3 hours before i get sick of the repetition and constant smashin of the attack buttons. I would give it 4/5

It's better on the 360, but I hear it's been patched to the point of being playable on the PS3 (Although I personally don't know, I got it for the 360.)
