It's not a gaming computer in that I didn't buy it specifically for gaming, and that it probably couldn't play any current or future games like Skyrim without taking an fps hit.
Your graphics card is substantially more powerful than mine and I can play just about every modern game without taking an FPS hit (except The Witcher 2, but that still looks gorgeous on lower settings).

Seriously, you have one hell of a gaming rig there.

To answer your question... Fallout 3 is the more compelling game, but be prepared to Google fixes to the myriad issues you'll have running it on a modern OS.

Still, I much prefer New Vegas, which also has the benefit of running just fine in Windows 7.

It's not the OS... I use vista and Fallout 3 works perfectly fine 99% of the time. Even New Vegas is very playable.

Vista gets a lot of shit it doesn't deserve.

OT:

Oblivion has more stuff to do. And I like TES universe more than Fallout's.
Huh, that's interesting I guess it might be something to do with the operating system not liking the mods I had, who knows.

And yeah, that's another definite plus for oblivion
This is coming from the guy who has never had a computer crash on him. On 98, XP, or Vista. I might just have really tough machine spirits fighting against the Vista minions. But it works fine.

Some mods do make things more unstable than others, though. That NV mod that adds 100s of new areas made me crash plenty of times as I entered a new area.

I prefer Oblivion, i guess its just because i prefer the setting, and if you get the Shivering Isles expansion you get this cheery character -
