Thanks a bunch for the info, I knew my computer wasn't necessarily built for running games so I was worried that even if I did get Skyrim I wouldn't be able to do much with it. Sounds like I need to get a graphics card first...any suggestions on a decent card for someone on a budget? ^^;

I have many mods on Skyrim.

A hunger/thirst/sleep mod that requires food conservation and strategy.
A camping system, which adds hypothermia, gives you camp items like a bedroll, and also lets you sleep on the ground
Numerous graphics mods
A mod that lets you look down and actually see your body
A mod called the Drachis mod, which makes the Argonians look like how they did in previous games (mostly the Daggerfall variety)
Another mod that gives more bonuses to having a higher Disposition with that character (A hidden stat that was made invisible in Skyrim because fuck you)
A mod that greatly improves platforming, and gives various animations for jumping and falling, ect.

I simply can't play the vanilla game anymore, it's almost as if Bestheda said "fuck it" and just let the fans finish the game for them.

Because that's exactly what happened.
Or, they produced a HUGE game in a new engine that was really fun on its own and were kind enough to let millions of fans have the ability to mod it as they desired. Had they had the time, resources, and staff then sure, you'd see these things. But you'd also see a foreclosure sign in the front of their building. What makes you thinks that years of dedicated fans modding at their games means that Bethesda should have produced that in addition to the game they did produce and the engine that makes it all possible?

Skyrim was already built limited because it was aimed to consoles rather than the PC like the previous games of TES, so aside from the mods it's merely a question of if you prefer keyboard and mouse or controllers, I bought Skyrim originally for my 360 but I realized I should've bought for the PC, I couldn't get used to the controller, so I gave it to my cousin and bought the PC version, mods are one big reason why you should consider getting Skyrim for the PC, I would buy it again just for the mods alone.
Its doesnt boil down to whether you prefer KB&M or Controllers. You can still use controllers on the PC version, I do. It boils down, to whether you want to use mods, console commands, have the potential for better graphics/framerates, and the potential for much faster load times. I dont think the CONTROL aspect has anything to do with it UNLESS you MUST use KB&M.
Right, because of the additional resources that mods take, consoles can't have mods in the way that pcs can because mods would quickly crash the console. Only curated DLC is made to work on a console and even then it has to be optimized.

But if you do have a rig that can handle it, here is a mod list I found.

http://www.asot.es/2001/09/skyrim-mods.html

The promised outcome will look like this:

.
Why don't you read ?

"
I have more than 1000 mods and i use/mix around 100 for the screenshots/videos so this is a small example of which mods i tested and i recommend.

But keep in mind this:

-I'm not only using these mods.
-This isn't a complete list.
-Don't install all the mods, just try them and make your own mix.
"

With that list of mod you won't get the same aspect as my screenshots !

Ok, I'm not going to lie, those videos are damn impressive. Really nice mods. It's incredible what they can do. This really is the power of the modding community for Bethesda games.
