Should I Get the Potato Sack?

For those of you who don't know, the Potato Sack is a promotional bundle for the upcoming Portal 2, including 13 indie videogames, including:

- Amnesia: The Dark Descent

a value of $154.87, for only $38.72

So, should I get it?

There are three or four of those games that are interesting... But personally I woudn't want to get them all.

If you are interested in less then half the games, get them individually. If you like all the games, then go ahead and grab them, it's a heck of a deal.

Come to think of it are they only discounted as a bundle or are they individually discounted?

50% discount on them individually, 75% discount overall. So in somecases it might be cheaper just to get them all. Personally I've refrained from getting it. Only certain ones interest me on the list, and I already own those from previous discounts. The only real benefit to getting the entire pack(unless you want enough of those games on the list to make it worth the full purchase) is that you get a TF2 hat and a Portal 2 CO-OP skin.

Why would DLC be in a pack without the game?

Amnesia doesn't even have any DLC.

Think of it like this: Were you interested in ALL of these games before? If yes, buy it. If no, were you interested in ANY of them? If yes, buy them. If no, don't buy anything.

So for example: Were you interested in ALL of these games before? No
Were you interested in ANY of these games before? Yes, Killing Floor and Super Meat Boy.
Buy Killing Floor and Super Meat Boy.

You see what I did there? You gave me the facts and I put them out for you. While some of them are very fun and enjoyable, if you're buying something just because it's on sale and not because you actually had a particular interest in it, you're not really saving money are you? Think about it.

In my opinion it's worth it just for Killing Floor, Amnesia and Super Meat Boy. The Ball isn't bad either. The rest aren't great, but it's about the same price to get all of them. Plus there are some rumors about the Potato Sack games unlocking Portal 2 early. I'd get it, but that's just me.

Defense Grid is pretty fun one. As is Killing Floor. I chose to just buy those rather than the whole thing but if you will play one or two more its probably worth it.

AaAaAA is pretty good. A fun little diversion.

Amnesia is fucking great. One and only horror game of recent years.

Killing Floor is pretty good for what it is. Simple co-op zombie murdering. Think Counter-strike meets Left 4 Dead.

I don't really know much about the others.

You're probably better off just buying the individual games that you're interested in. They're all 50% off at the moment.

Jesus Christ. Its a full game with free potato sack DLC.

I know that was intended to make me feel bad but I just laughed instead. 8D

OT: I already had a fair number of these games before the Potato Sack came out, so I didn't feel like getting it. But if you want to play a bunch of really good indie games (and some less then steller ones), then I'd give it a buy.
