This might not work, but when my cousin's PS3 died just a month after his Warranty expired they found that because of they used Credit Card-X (I don't honestly know which one), they got a free extended-warranty on their PS3 for something like a year. I dunno, if it's only 3 days-dead it might be worth a look into.

Myself I have a gaming PC/PS3 combo so I generally get titles from both consoles, but go with whatever console has (in your opinion) the better games since they're about the same in price anyways. If you've already got a fairly large sized 360 library, you might want to stick with that.

Getting a PS3 could open up some gaming options to you.

It really comes down to which system you think more exclusive titles that you will be interested in will be realised for.
That's the entire problem.

Now while I am not interested in the PS3 now, I will later this year and next year

If you have a library established already, just go with what you got.

I'm one of those sentimental gamers that can't really bear to part with any game I own, so I'm naturally against trading in.

I have about 15 games for the 360 though only about 5 that I still play

Not to mention that I am NOT a PC gamer for some reason

I would rather rag on them for a nice PC. Diablo III and Starcraft II should be sufficient enough to last you through a decade (like with the previous titles).

I'd get the PS3. If you're into the games it has. Alot of the games have the same level community as the 360, so don't worry about people saying it's horrible.

If not, go 360 all the way. If it has the games you like.

Otherwise, go PC and be a pirate. ARGH.

Yes because a three word answer is'nt trolling.

And not everyone can afford both, let alone still buy games for both of them

Go get PS3. It's more stable,it has Ratchet & Clank (if you're into humorous games),and most of the games are multiplatform nowadays. So i'd take PS3.

And by the way,it should have been a poll.

PS3 since it wont RROD on you and has plenty of awsome game titules and exclusives.
In my opinion as of now the PS3 right now has few titles that interest me.

However later in the next few years it will have a lot, and so will the 360

So since I don't wanna make a thread for this anyone wanna recommend mass effect or fallout 3? I've beat mass effect but haven't played fallout.
Just something to kill the time with the lady over the weekend.

ON TOPIC

Get the 360 if you still have a bunch of games and PS3 otherwise.

Yes, I know. But If I we're you. I'd rather buy a PS3 now so I can get all those titles in the incoming years, than buy an XBox, wait a few years for more titles and have it RROD on me.

I am an addicted gamer, it's not that simple as waiting for a few years

Oh, you didn't say that in your OP. I was disregarding the things like Blue-ray and the threat of getting another RRoD- saying the exclusives should be *the* reason for picking a console over other factors.

I would go with the Xbox then. The PS3's heavy emphasis on graphics turn me off it. It seems less creative though better looking games will be realised on that; like Killzone and Drake's Fortune. This obervation is perhaps based less on evidence and more of emotion though (I have not played either of those games but so far as I've heard they don't push the envelope very far).

I dont care about graphics as long as they are relatively modern, Killzone was eh at best as long with the other titles out now

But yes the threat of another RR is annoying as it itches at the back of my skull

In all honesty. 360's online is the shiznit.

I own both consoles (and a Wii, lol)

I'd say that if PS3 doesn't have titles you want, then you'd be throwing your money away in getting one. You can't just buy a console and wait forever for "good" titles to come out. That's crazy.

Buy the console for the games you have a lot of interest in. :)
