I would say go, but make sure you have an escape plan in case you decide the place isn't for you. That's something I would do regardless of where you're moving.
I do not. But I may do in a few weeks and that has rattled around in my brain also.factualsquirrel said:do you have a significant other?
Not every online service will sell you non-Australian games, though. Steam, for example, will foist the censored versions of games on you. It's better to import from another country entirely, or if you want to play a Steam game, have someone from the US gift the game to you. It's way cheaper and it bypasses the regional restrictions.Tattaglia said:There are still a hell of a lot of ways to get video games in Australia, so don't worry about that. I say move - you can still import them from New Zealand or get them from an online service.

Yeah, in that case base it on how likely it is, and how much you want it, and also how serious it is likely to get.TimeLord said:I do not. But I may do in a few weeks and that has rattled around in my brain also.factualsquirrel said:do you have a significant other?
Huh, I didn't know that. Even so, there are still a lot of options for getting video games. You get a cookie for both giving information and for the usage of the word 'foist'.xyrafhoan said:Not every online service will sell you non-Australian games, though. Do it. And keep your accent. The girls will go MAD for it.TimeLord said:I just got asked by my parents if I want to move to Australia.
My dad has a job opportunity there.
Is that a good idea?

Damn there's a reason it's an island isn't it? We'd be doomed if all those things got into the rest of the worldAkai Shizuku said:Fuck no.
Depends on where. If it's Sydney, Canberra, Adelaide or Darwin, don't bother. If it's Melbourne, Brisbane or Perth (especially Perth), definitely go.TimeLord said:I just got asked by my parents if I want to move to Australia.

I really don't know because as much as I'd love to move there, I'd be leaving my friends behind etc and one man stands in my way....
Michael Atkinson!
EDIT: Just to clarify, I live in Scotland just now so I'd probably explode from the temperature differential alone
