Do you beleive that getting new equipment is the primary source of fun in MW2? If so, prestige.

I make the mistake of going prestige at least once sinceCoD4.
I regret it every time.
Just stay at max level and work on the paint jobs for your guns.

... I almost had them all in CoD6, then I went to prestige. I've hated myself ever since.

On COD6, I finally reached level 70 end, but I am not sure if I want to prestige, I have unlocked so much I am not sure I want to give it all up for some fancy logos...

any advice?
I played MW2 for ages after reaching 70 and it just becomes a stale waste of time, you gain no experience and it gets boring using the same weapons and tactics all the time. Prestige forces you to use shit guns and set ups (atleast for 4/10 levels).

That is unless you whore the ump.45 through to level 70 then there is no point into "prestige-ing".

Personally I would, just once, so you can say you have and so you can get the extra class slots. Then I'd go back to level 70 and leave it.

I prestiged and got to level 8 before accidentally being connected onto a modded server where (after I quickly disconnected), I was made level 70. I'm not going to prestige again. Besides, after that modded server crap I had a lot of people calling me a hacker because I hadn't got the challenges done for that prestige.

It's not worth it, unless you want extra titles and stuff.

ahh similar thing happened to me. I was level 50, then hit a modded server (didn't know what it did at the time) and got propelled to level 70...

if you do, you're a gimp that just prestiged, and if you don't you're a noob that just likes using super perks/weapons against new players.

i've never even looked at MW2 and i already have it all figured out.

I was actually rather worried my Steam account would get closed/locked/banned or something. It's one of the worst aspects of the matchmaking system. You simply can't choose where you can play and it's ridiculously easy to get caught out.

Only time I prestige is when I'm extremely bored and feel like getting back to the roots of my levels, already second Prestige, Love when you're a low level after you prestige everybody doesn't take you as seriously, couple days after I prestiged was in a match and killed 9 guys in a row and met no resistance until the 10th kill. (I was out of ammo)

But the most important thing is:

Extra custom weapon slots.

This alone makes it worth me prestiging every chance I get. You start with 5 custom weapons slots, and once you prestige Twice, you get an extra one. When you prestige another two times, you get another one. I don't know where it ends, but my advice would be to keep going until it stops.
This makes it seem interesting in my eyes.

Albeit, the only worthwhile reason I have seen thus far.

But coming from a level 30something, my opinion holds little weight on the matter. =3

Do you have enough time to unlock everything again? That's what I'd ask myself if I were ever in your situation.

I prestiged recently and its not worth it. Not unless you have a spare 300 hours or so of gameplay to unlock everything again. I miss my ACR :(

I've never bothered with prestige. I don't care about titles or emblems. I don't care about new challenges.

I have every attachment with every weapon, which means when I want to use something, I can.

Sometimes people give me shit about not prestiging. They say stupid things like "You're not even in the first prestige noob!". To which I reply: "That doesn't stop me from being ranked in the top 9000 players. Where are you?". No response.

Really though, it's up to you. If you like doing challenges and find that you don't have enough weapon slots, go for it.
