Should I Read The Hunger Games?

well, while I didn't really dislike the main characters, I more tolerated them, but some of the minor characters are quite interesting, plot is pretty good, but in the second, and even more in the third, it just gets weird, particularly towards the end. still, you might as well read them, they aren't as good as some books (LoTR) but I did stay up well past midnight reading them, so they aren't completely repulsive, and they are easy to get into

Considering how you can finish all of them with 3 dedicated afternoons, I suppose I can recommend them. However, during that time you could read "A Game of Thrones", which is also going to be a trending cultural force for a while, and is vastly superior.

If you have free time to kill, read them all. The premise is interesting enough to get you well through the first and most of the second. By then, you'll likely just finish them all due to being committed.

Read the first one and try to imagine the other two don't exist. If you don't like it you don't really lose anything. I enjoyed it but have no idea if its similar to battle royale.

Meh. It was OK. A little to cliche'd though. I've only read the first one BTW.
