PS2 is cheap as dirt these days... do you really need to sell your 360 to afford it? oh, and another option is to try and find a second-hand 60 gb PS3, since they have backwards compatability
Yeah i could just get a PS2 also, but i dunno i just don't think i'm getting much use out of my 360, and probably won't in the future. It's not really about money seeming as PS2 is so damn cheap, but it's just more about the principle of not having a console lying around that i won't use. Even after having games like GTA IV, Fallout 3, Mirror's Edge amonst others i've still barely touched my 360 in the last month (though i have already beaten all my games).

I guess you dont have alot of cash to throw around as the ps2 seems really cheap atm, and you could probably pick up a 2nd hand one for even cheaper...
Yeah i don't really have cash just hanging around to be buying multiple consoles, but also i'm fairly fickle in the sense that i hate having something around if it's not being used. Part of my obsessive compulsive nature. So even though a second hand PS2 would only cost like 120 bucks or so, i just couldn't stand the thought of having a 360 around that doesn't get used.
More like $60 used, it's $100 NEW.

Really, where from? I called EB Games and a pre-owned slimline is 120 bucks, though EB can be a rip-off. Does anybody know where the best prices are? Or is that the best price, cos that's still pretty darn cheap, so yeah.

Seriously dude, a PS2? I literally bought one last month for £25, brand new in GAME. And second hand I've seen them for as low as £10. What's worth more, having an Xbox 360 or not eating fucking caviar for lunch for one day a week, having beans on toast or something instead.

I think you would ultimately regret it if you downgraded to the last generation of consoles. And the classic games like Ico aren't as cheap as you'd think, either, given their rarity and newfound popularity.

No.

The PS2 had a few good titles, and you can get one for around £20 in the right places. Therefore, it's pretty pointless to sell your 360 if you can get it that cheap.

Exactly. I was gonna say that. Gamecube was awesome.

Get a PS2, keep your 360. If you can't afford to buy a PS2 without seling your 360, keep your 360.

I have a PS2, and never use it. Maybe that's because I've had one for eight years and played the new games as they were released while I was over it.
I just wish my PS3 had backwards compatibility. I don't feel like hooking up my PS2 just to finish Dragon Quest 8.

What the hell are you thinking?! Don't sell your Xbox 360 seriously the games that are already out and the ones which are coming our for it this year are so awesome! Prototype, Mass Effect 2, Modern Warfare 2, Star Wars Battlefront 3 etc.

I can see why you'd want a PS2 because its got great boredom killing games for it but the Xbox 360 in my opinion is the superior console with its features including Xbox Live, Downloadable content and the high graphics next generation games.

However if you're not interested in those things then maybe I would consider doing what you're thinking if I were in your shoes. Having said that we're probably very different gamers and don't look for the same things in console gaming.

Gamestop, Target, Wal-mart, K-mart, anywhere else that sells them since it was a Sony mandated price drop.

I never thought I'd say this, but buy a PS3. You can play both new games and the old ones that you missed.

if you don't use the 360 sell it. as for getting a ps2 I'd recommend it wholeheartedly if only because its massive catalog of games. Plus exclusives you can get most x-box and 360 titles on it as well. And since Sony has decided to say FU to their back catalog with the ps3.

EB is a big rip off when it comes to second hand stuff, even at cash converters you can find them for $90 or less.
But I have to tell you I own a ps2 and 360 (im more a PC gamer though) but it is a joy being able to pick what I want to play...

For the record, you can get a ps2 on ebay for like 20 to 40 dollars. I mean, it's certainly not the safest bet, but you're not risking a lot of cash on the deal. I actually sold my old ps2 on ebay when i got my ps3, so I can vouch for the fact that at least some of them on there must be in fairly good condition.

You can get used Ps2 as low as 40 USD now. Sell like 2 xbox games and buy a used Ps2 and keep both.

Nah dude. Get a PS2 and keep your 360.

PS2s are only $100 new on amazon.com and $55 used.

If I were you, I'd keep my 360 and just wait till I get enough for a PS2. That way, I'd get to enjoy 360 games, at the same time PS2 and its games are getting much cheaper, so I can get those and enjoy them anyways. And since most PS2 games are single player based, it makes more sense to enjoy 360 games first, mostly multiplayer based.

I have just got my PS2 out again and set it up, I've been playing it a LOT more than my 360.

I would say sell your 360, but it's still worth getting a PS2.
