Of course he should be punished! He killed a kid for riding his fucking bicycle, but that can't be all there is to it.
Maybe this copper was drunk? Maybe it was some demented hate crime? I dunno, all I know is that this cop is a dick and needs to go to prison.

OT: Definitely, he called a kid for no good reason! Not only that but he might have also planted a gun on the kid according to the article, which is just stupid considering it doesn't really change anything since there's no way the cop would have seen it. He basically tried to sully a dead person's image just to justify killing someone.

Up until the gun, the cop could have gotten away with "It was an accident, it was his fault he didn't pull over."

Yes, yes he should. I am getting so sick of cops these days. For some reason the cops where I live have been "cracking down" on speeding. This means that anyone going 2 miles over the speed limit get a hundred dollar ticket no questions asked. I drove by just two hours ago and I swear I saw two different cars pulled over during a ten minute drive. I've lost all respect for cops ,around where I live at least, because they're turning into a bunch of pricks that just like to abuse the badge. I probably shouldn't be jumping to conclusions about this specific police officer before getting all the facts though. For all we know that kid did steal the bike and was carrying the gun but it seems unlikely.
At first I was bit skeptical when I read the description, but watch the video. This is clearly police brutality. This has little to do with the taser, but more with the fact that the officer ran him over afterwards. You can hear him do a sharp turn and accelerate over the kid's body.
I mean, not only was firing the taser at the kid a very questionable thing to do, but running him over is brutality, pure and simple.

Of course, the skin of a man or woman doesn't matter, I kills the boy for no reason at all except his suspicion of African Americans and only gets two weeks unpaid? I say an eye for an eye.

Riding a bike at two in the morning is a little odd, but you don't taser someone for it. Also, he ran the kid over with his cruiser. It wouldn't've been as bad if he'd just tasered the kid, but why'd he run him over? That deserves some punishment

This is manslaughter at the very least, so he should obviously be thrown in jail. I don't want to make any assumptions vis-a-vis the gun, but it definitely doesn't make the cop's story more believable.

I hate pigs on principle. I know they give a much needed service but lets face it, a lot of cops see some very fucked up stuff and have to deal with some very fucked up people. That gets to you, and you eventually take it out on others, whether on a bad day or on a routine basis. I have yet to meet a cop that has made me think otherwise.
And I'm not just a hater. I have friends and family who are in the military, and know people who are police officers. Hell I live 5 houses down from one, and used to go to his barbecues every summer. But as his career lengthened he became more and more sullen to the point of intolerance.
My dislike/hate of police aside, this cop needs a lot more than a simple suspension. He was swerving all over for a kid on a fucking bicycle??! The dude didn't stop but he obviously wasn't pedaling that fast to get away. I didn't even hear the cop yell at him to stop in that video. If a cop was flashing his lights at me, running crazy through the streets and mounting curbs left and right, I wouldn't stop either.
And last time I checked, they get out of the car to taze people, not drive by them.
