I don't know if I'm ever getting BBS. After a while of getting teased at the prospect of KH3, I don't know if I want to continue on with the canon until I know, for sure, that it's going somewhere :/KeyMaster45 said:People thought it was hinting at KH3 but it was actually for Birth by Sleep. There's supposed to be a secret ending at the end of BBS but I haven't seen it and I don't want to spoil it until I've unlocked it.RagnarokHybrid said:This is why Square Enix makes me angry sometimes. KH2's secret ending hinted at a KH3 everyone has been waiting for since they beat the game.

The Celtic characteristics between the clothing, music and overall style of the world are something I haven't seen come about in an RPG since then. The grinding gameplay mechanic is by far, the only one in an RPG I've seen as completely forgiveable, because it encouraged multiplayer and only someone who NEVER played the actual multiplayer mode of that game would talk shit about it.

And what I got instead was a piece of shit 'experiment' of a game from Square Enix that felt like a crappy attempt at an 'open world' type of game. God it pissed me off to no end.
BUT NOPE, CAN'T HAVE THAT, TCB WAS A TESTING GROUND FOR SOME GAMEPLAY SYSTEM THAT DIDN'T EXPAND BEYOND THE MEDIOCRE EXPERIENCE IT WAS.
and... Yea... ouch... That would have been painful.Kyogissun said:OP, I was so ready to come in here and tear you a new asshole...
I know! I hadn't heard that either. Ugh, Nintendo you're making it harder and harder for people to defend you when you go and do shit like this. >.<Kaleion said:WAIT WHAT!? ****in' loved that game. Beat it with both characters for the second time a few months ago. You have no idea how hard it was to find the disc image for my emulator...RagnarokHybrid said:Threads of Fate comes to mind for me... but, apparently, I'm the only one who cares about that game anymore...
I would highly recommend BBS simply because on it's own it is a great KH game and it answers some back story questions with answers I think they'll probably be using in KH3. The game was just damned good and an amazing breath of fresh air after the smoldering pile of crap that was Days. plus it's not a tired retread of KH1. That immediately scored it mega points in my book. One of the biggest features I enjoyed was getting the game's story from three different perspectives. If you do get it I advise playing it thru as Ventas, then Aqua, and finally Terra. Trust me when I say that that order is the one to give you the most bang for your story mileage. It's hard to explain without spoiling the story but suffice it be said that Ventas sets things up, Aqua answers some questions but raises more, and Terra brings the whole shebang together. Whatever you do though, leave Terra for last, I can't stress that enough. Terra is like mega spoilers for Ventas and Aqua's stories, and to be honest his just comes off more as a third act rather than a first or second.RagnarokHybrid said:I don't know if I'm ever getting BBS. Hmm... Maybe I should get it then. I just don't like PSP controls, I guess. Without a second analog stick for camera controls, I usually get frustrated and rage quit--like I did with Monster Hunter Freedom U. Maybe I should replay KH 1 and 2, first, though. Is Square Enix ever going to do an HD re-release of those two?KeyMaster45 said:I would highly recommend BBS simply because on it's own it is a great KH game and it answers some back story questions with answers I think they'll probably be using in KH3. In terms of quality, BBS is more than worthy to stand besides KH 1 & 2 as a core game to the franchise. I think you'd regret skipping out on it come the eventual release of 3.
I don't believe SE has any plans to ever take the FFCC sub-series ever again. But hey, maybe if there's enough fan outcry, we could see a beefed up remake of the original game... perhaps on the 3DS or PSP =/RagnarokHybrid said:Yes!Kyogissun said:I to think that Square Enix needs to go back and look at where they were headed with the series and realize one things:

One thing I'd definitely love to is more character customization if they ever do return to FFCC's roots. It was nice to see my avatar's attire change with certain armor. Maybe I'm just a sucker for customization but I'd like a wide array of hairstyles, clothes, and weapon-styles to choose from. But yeah, dungeon-crawling worked well for FFCC. I don't know what TCB was trying to be but it didn't succeed--unless it was trying to be bad. In which case, it deserves an award--namely: Yahtzee's "Indiana Jones in a Fridge Award for Franchise Murder."
