Just an odd question, how come nudity taboo applies to werewolves in human form, but not in wolf or half/wolf form?

I mean, yeah, obviously they aren't human form anymore, but if they are mentally the same, if they are still a person, you'd think that'd be what matters.

If I was a werewolf, I don't think I'd be comfortable being naked and hairy in front of strangers.

(Likewise, if I was turned into the Queen of Blades from Starcraft, even if she's covered in chitinous stuff and presumably doesn't have any naughty bits to conceal (though she's got breasts or something like them in the statue of here)...and most people she meets are Zerg anyway)

ETA: This only really applies to those werewolves/whatever that retain more or less human mind and personality.

They aren't mentally the same. The whole concept of being a werewolf is that you turn into a bloodthirsty mindless rampaging monster every full moon. This is a very odd question. A werewolf is, to all intents and purposes, a very large wolf. Are we going to censor dog's bollocks now?

This is a bit of a stupid thread.

Captcha: Dog's dinner. Coincidence...

It depends on the werewolf in question. Joe Manganiello should pretty much never wear clothes, ever, imo.

I probably wouldn't care. Most werewolf designs don't show a visible penis, and only weirdos pay attention to doggy penises to begin with.

I think I'd wear stretchy pants under my normal clothes just incase I feel the need to change.

Well, in that case, yeah, but I meant with the werewolves that doesn't happen to, though I should probably change the OP, yeah.

That would make it a thread with a point, go for it!

I suppose if you retained your mind, you would want to wear clothes. Unless you are into running around nekkid.

Plus with if you're going realistic werewolves would have like 6 nipples anyway, I think?

Spontaneously changing your bone lengths and shapes, growing claws and masses of body hair I can respect, but growing extra nipples? Them's crazy words!

To be honest, the only part of werewolf clothing issues I've ever really thought about is shoes. You wolf up, you tear-ass around town, and when you wake up in a ditch covered in blood and viscera with a severed arm or half a pig in your teeth, you have to walk home with no shoes.
Oh, the horror.

Be right back, setting up a a triple-bra business for werebeasts who require support.

Make it a sports-bra, for the busy were-lady on the go!

Hopefully you could get your shoes off before changing, otherwise you'd damage your feet.

Worse if you were one of those mermaids that spent time in human form until they got wet. Having your legs merge into a tail mean you can't wear anything below the waist without risking nasty injuries, though a dress or kilt would work, if you could find one you could swim in.

True, though it's slightly more likely that I'd become a werewolf than a merman. I can't swim and go nowhere near water, for one.

... of course, neither do I frequent areas teeming with rabid wolves either, but I damn well WOULD if lycanthropy were an actual thing.

Well, some of them do wear clothing. I've seen art that has them with a loincloth type of thing. And an image search for "werewolf" gave me

pretty high up in the results. Although it also turned up

So I decided to stop scrolling, as I realised SafeSearch was off.

But it depends on the work you're using, I suppose. In Werewolf the Apocalypse, the half-human-half-wolf form is pretty comfortable but still, werewolves can dedicate some items, that shift with them, so they can have pants and a shirt while being a 9 foot tall killing machine.

I see this as more of a storytelling quirk rather than something that can be logically explained.

Obviosly the werewolf transformations are going to rip off most/all clothes just to show off the process in detail and when keeping the wolfy nekkid, the point of "Hey, im a big scary furry! Rawr rawr" is just maintained that way.

As for human mind-werewolf body types, i imagine that getting fitting clothes to your inhuman body might be inconvinient, the old trick of stealing clothes from the washing line can only go so far and not all humans have XXL clothes, the bastards :p

I...I think you ruined the word "tailing" for me. Now I don't think I'll use it ever again, and I'll be very suspicious when anybody else does.
