For those of you who don't choose to be honest with who they are, why do you hide behind an avatar which is not a picture of yourself? Be honest people, show me who you really are!
to those who are wondering, yes the picture in my profile is me.
Well it's good that you're brave enough to place a picture of yourself in a public space that is accessable by anyone at any time.
It doesn't really have anything to do with honesty as much as it's personal safety (stalkers can be a
very serious problem for some people, having a picture of yourself up along with details such as full name, current location, age and other personal info has probably resulted in a few people being terrorised or abducted in the past).
Women in particular have more reason to be cautious in this way than men (for reasons that are fairly obvious).
Granted, it is highly unlikely that any one person here will suffer misfortune or tragedy as a result of having their likeness posted in public but that doesn't mean that you can't play it safe anyway (you don't have to carry a mobile phone on you when you go out but it sure as hell is a good idea).
On top of that, some people just like the pictures they put up (mine is just so darn cute!).
Who exactly are you anyway? Why are we suddenly obliged to reveal our identities to you?
I didn't realise you commanded the authority of the Holy Inquisition.
