For those of you who don't choose to be honest with who they are, why do you hide behind an avatar which is not a picture of yourself? Be honest people, show me who you really are!

I prefer not to use an avatar of myself for various reasons.

EDIT: Maybe I could use a picture of a friend of my sister who kinda looks like some pictures of David Bowie I've seen.

I've never hidden my body. There's a fair few people here who know exactly what I look like. I chose my avatar because it represents me better than a picture of me could. What does my physical appearance have to do with 'who I really am' however? Most of it isn't under my control, and so could hardly be argued to represent 'who I am', simply 'what I look like'.

I can't be arsed to upload pictures, and there's only about thirty pictures of me in existence anyway, and all of themm are at least five years old, so it wouldn't really be me anyway.

Besides, my avatar is a constant insult to all those who didn't like FFVIII, and a reminder to all that I liked that game. It represents me and my opinions.
