It was only there for one episode but Cougarton Abby in Community was pretty funy. Mainly because of Troy's reaction after the show ended. "Britta. Why did everyone on Cougarton Abby just die?"

Also because that led to the "you are the opposite of Batman" rant.

I never really liked Family Guy but I did like their very brief parodies of television, especially 'Fast Animals, Slow Children' http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_1PaL-S86OY

Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are dead has hamlet and the mousetrap which is the play within the play in Hamlet. I can't think of anything else that has 3 layers.

Toy Story had that Buzz Lightyear TV show (which they then actually made into a RL TV show...)

I feel like most shows set in modern day have other shows in them, I just can't think of many.

Also, while Itchy & Scratchy is the obvious show-in-a-show for The Simpsons, don't forget that Itchy & Scratchy was actually a part of Krusty's show, making it a show-in-a-show-in-a-show.

You just blew my mind.
Though on the topic of the Simpsons, I'm more a fan of McBain.

"Invitation to Love" in Twin Peaks was great because at some points, it reflected what was happening in the show... and then it didn't. Lynch messing with us.

I would probably pay good money to see a Blasto movie from the Mass Effect series. What's not to love about a wisecracking hanar Spectre?
.

Infamous 2 has some cool sounding ones

"solid serpant"
"Assasins Need (love too)"
"Uncharted Love" <-which apears to be some brokeback mountain esq deal

there were more but I cant remember (that game actually has tons of cool adds.. like "mid-life" cyles shaped like the Harley davison logo..)

I'm always a fan of Sick Sad World from Daria.
I'd love to watch that show...

As for my favorite I've got 2 but they're from the same game series so it's all good. The first being:

The second being:

After all: Mirrors are more fun than television.

Action Bastard!

Best line in the show: "my rod is so big, so long, and so purple, there's nothing my rod cannot do!"
Captcha: Dish Water

Hey! That's Action-Fizz to you, you jack-asses!

The lack of Grand Theft Walrus from The Simpsons Movie disappoints me:

I mean, who wouldn't want to play a game where you're a gangster walrus who shoots dancing penguins and drives sports cars? That should be a real game or something.

Well there's the unnamed sci-fi series/film in Stargate SG1.
It's not unnamed. It was called Wormhole X-Treme. "I do not understand why everything in this script must inevitably explode" - Teal'c

That one show in Robocop which seems to be just some old guy surrounded by scantily clad women while saying "I'd buy that for a dollar" might be the best idea for a show ever.
Ninja'd.

.......Has no one mentioned GTA yet? Had to be at least a dozen ads or clips for various shows. My favorite was The Men's Room. captcha: be serious now. Aww, captcha! But we were having so much fun! Do I have to do my homework now??

Love me some Gintaman.
Since Gintama breaks the fourth wall constantly, they have their own version of Jump, but I guess having them read their own manga was too crazy so instead we get Gintaman.
