Pushing Up Daisy's.

Watched it a few times, loved it's strange premise, then it got canned for more reality TV and other garbage.

Dollhouse. Canned after the second season. I still need to see the second season; the first one was brilliant.
You'll love the last episode, it was pretty unexpected considering the rest of the show :)
Darn you! Now I'm going to suffer waiting! Darn you!
[sub]But really: I'm going to see it soon hopefully, the season 2 starts here soonish[/sub]
>:D

By the way, I may be wrong, but I think Hulu has a few episodes of second season, that may be worth checking it out.

Korgoth of Barbaria was fucking awesome. Too bad it only got a single episode.
Hells yeah Korgoth of Barbaria! I loved that show the second that I seen it. I just wish that Adult Swim would be smart enough to cancel Tim&Eric and make Korgoth instead. On topic I would say Invader Zim and the Angry Beavers.

MAX HEADROOM <---- still pissed they took this off
Airwolf had a good 3-season run...then a shitty 4th-season spiral into the void. A full cast change is never a good sign for a show's longevity (and neither is cutting the budget by 2/3 - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Airwolf#Season_4)

As for Max...man, I LOVED Max Headroom! I wanted to live "20 minutes into the future", watch Network 23, cash-in corpses at the Body Banks, and eat canned "FOOD" with Blank Reg. Ah, the 80's were filled with such hope...which was wrapped in a visage of post-apocalyptic decrepitude. I miss those days and I miss that show.

Unfortunately they don't stream to outside the USA, but thanks for the advice though.

It was actually really interesting--basically a drama/comedy about a priest and his family and how they couldn't fit the mold of what the stereotyped "Godly family" was. But the religious psychopath community took serious offense to the show and it was canceled.

I know the feeling, living in Germany but being french (who can't speak or understand a word of german, shame on me), I can't watch Hulu nor even VOD services from my own country (hence my giant dvd collection :D).

Would've been such an awesome show.
I forgot how cool the artwork was in that pilot, I can't believe they never made that show!

Mission hill, it only lasted a season but it could have been a contender for at least king of the hill longivity.
One of my favorite shows of all time, makes me smile whenever I'm listening to QFM96 and they play the clip of Brian Posehn saying "It's hooters night at Shooters! Or, is it shooters night at Hooters?"

Has no one mentioned Arrested Development? NO ONE??? Yes it made it through 3 seasons, but I bet it would still be on the air today if it had kept going.

I know! What could they possible have been thinking when they decided to not air it?

I'd totally forgotten about this "show". I remember the promos but never got to see it. Adult Swim put out a boxed set of pilot eps and such and Korgoth's on it. Even if it only had a half-dozen eps it still would've been pretty cool in a Heavy Metal kinda way. We did get Dave the Barbarian (no relation...and built for kids.)

On a different note, I was pissed when Reaper didn't come back for a 3rd season. Pissed! The characters were fun, the Devil was genius, and there didn't seem an end to the types of demons and bizarre vessels that could be written. I've seen Fox's new show "Fathers & Sons" is starring Tyler Labine ("Sock" from Reaper), doesn't look like it'll last but I'll watch it for him.

Maybe they decided it was too dumb and gory... or, more likely, not dumb and gory enough. You couldn't get a better half-hour of Adult Swim programming than Metalocalypse followed by Korgoth. Unless it was Squidbillies followed by Perfect Hair Forever, but I think I'm the only person who would be psyched for that mix.

SPEAKING OF WHICH, Perfect Hair Forever definitely belongs in this thread. Not that it would have lasted much longer than it did, but holy fuck is it funny.

It'll never be good without Stephen Colbert. I loved that show, but have you ever seen the video game? Or even the last episode, where Phil comes back and everyone's excited, but then he has this creepy strange voice and everyone is let down and walks away? I'm pretty sure the show was canceled just because they weren't going to have him on it anymore.

Frisky Dingo. Brilliant show with a story line that was both funny, dramatic and kept you coming back for each episode. Unfortunately it was canceled after the second season.

At least the creators moved on to Archer though, which is getting really good by the way.
My sister was an intern artist for Frisky Dingo (the redheaded girl was based on her) and is now a background artist for Archer. Thanks for giving her shows a shout out.

Both of these were successes but short run, at least shorter run than I would liked.

Black Books
Spaced

Two of my all time favorite series.

Jeremiah, Crusade (yes I said it) although it was the network that cut that show down, JUST before the main arc started to kick in. Firefly, Dollhouse, and I think that's it.
