The dialog wouldnt be as intense as in Mass Effect, its Futurama so they will still just talk about Fry being lazy and Bender being selfish or something, it would just mean that you could interact with them in conversations and have their own personal stuff to overcome (like in most episodes where someone has some sort of issue that in the end gets its conclusion), about the space adventure I would prefer multiple smaller events rather then a big overarching one like in the movies or game.Battenberg said:There's been a Futurama game back in the PS2 days [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Futurama_%28video_game%29], personally I thought it was pretty good (although others disagree). That said a new game would be cool, although I think the Mass Effect formula is a little serious for Futurama and putting a load of episodes worth of material into one game would be hugely time consuming.josemlopes said:Futurama: Bioware, just make it like Mass Effect, you interact with your crew and their personal shit and off you go to various planets (each being like a self contained episode).
The Simpsons: Rockstar, one thing that I would like out of a Simpsons game is to feel like I am in Springfield and Rockstar at the moment is the best at creating a living city.
This one I agree, although I would still want them as support for the creation of the city and making sure that the world is believeble, as for gameplay mechanics they could pull it off too, they did Bully and with that you would already have something close to Bart's gameplay.Battenberg said:There's also been a couple of dozen Simpson games including Simpsons Skateboarding, Virtual Springfield, and Simpsons Hit and Run, all of which allowed exploration around Springfield. As good as Rockstar are at creating worlds they have no experience (that I can think of) with taking an existing universe and making it into a game plus the humour in their games isn't really the same as Simpsons humour. To be honest I think the Simpsons' best days are well behind us now and not even the writers could get back the original spirit of Springfield in a game.
As for them working with existing universes they actually did The Warriors and it was really good although I can see how they couldnt pull off the family friendly humor of the Simpsons (but even like with every other example here the writters would have to be the ones from the show)
