Firefly I feel strongest about.
Better off Ted, Arrested Development, Dollhouse. Veronica Mars I wanted to see more of, but 3 seasons was a pretty good run, so I don't feel it got completely shafted. Most recently, Terriers. I was keen on 'Crusade', the Babylon 5 spinoff but it wasn't amazing.
I would have watched more Caprica but frankly the 5min ending Epilogue was the most awesome 5min to happen in Caprica or BSG and might not have been as awesome if dragged over many episodes.

Family Guy and Futurama were great choices for 'uncancellation', it seems like they were success stories so that's nice.

Cancellation-related mishaps:
Babylon 5 was told it was going to be cancelled at the end of the 4th season so they packed everything in to the 4th season and it was good and then the 5th season was shit. Would have been better if they didn't threaten cancellation or just went through with it!
Newsradio should have been cancelled when Phil Hartman died, or better still Phil Hartman shouldn't have died and it should have kept going.

Seeing as Firefly is a given.
There was a kids/early teens sci fi show on ABC TV in Australia in 2004/2005 called Silversun. They had about 40 episodes I think and it ended on an epic cliffhanger then never got picked up again. I loved it.

my first choice.

also, a mention to Moonlight, i liked that show, but it was ended way before it's time.

EDIT: also My Name is Earl, personally i loved that show, but mostly because its ironic that the final episode ends on "to be continued" :p

"Tripping the rift" was one of the shows I enjoyed very much and I'm sad that they didn't continue with more seasons.

Also "Mortal Kombat Conquest"(was decent enough, too bad it only lasted 1 season).

Predictably, Firefly and Megas XLR. I admit I would have liked to see Heroes return for a fifth season, but I admit that four seasons was pretty much its time.

Megas XLR and Samurai Jack... I gotta say I loved the 300 crossover with Jack and everything about Megas... something about a giant robot destroying the DMV makes me happy

Look it up, one of the best shows ever, never renewed for a second season. :(
This.

I found out two hours ago about this. I currently have a deep-seated and extremely petty hate for all my favorite CN cartoons at the moment (Regular Show, Adventure Time, Scooby Doo Mystery Inc.) and some that aren't (Clone Wars, Ben 10, Generator Rex, MAD) and some that have zero to do with anything (Superjail!, My Little Pony, Squidbillies, anything on [adult swim].)

Worst of all I feel quite mad at myself for not having contributed my viewership. I loved what little I saw of the show, then I got so busy with school that I simply forgot when it was on.

I don't care what the OP said.

Invader Zim was cancelled way too early, and for stupid reasons too.

I nominate the following . . .

TV Funhouse spin off on Comedy Central

Courage the Cowardly Dog

Invader Zim

Harvey Birdman Attourney at Law

Batman: TAS

That Clerks cartoon

and Home Movies needed more publicity . . .

As much as I would love to be 100% thorough and list every single murdered show since I have been old enough to appreciate quality as opposed to cartoons which were almost always nothing more then 30 minute commercials for action figures.

I'lll throw Firefly up again even though I came aboard the Serenity just recently due to the BBC/Discovery off-shoot, the "Science Channel" started running them again. I always menat to do it so much sooner after being highly impressed with the theatrical film but just never got around to it.

As far as Comedy shows go Arrested Development goes completely without saying. However I haven't seen anyone mention Wonder Showzen. Which for those unfamiliar finally took advantage of the extremely simple concept of making a epically demented kid show(Think Sesame Street on crack, meth, and heroin chased with some high qulity LSD). While yes the concept was simple, and obvious the execution was what made it unique. While lasting only two seasons every single episode was absolute comedy gold with massive replay value. The only exception being the last half of the "Patience" episode after your first viewing. I'll avoid spoilers since I really want to encourage you guys to check it out!

I don't want to make this post too much bigger so I will just add two more shows whose untimely deaths really made me wary of getting attached to TV shows.

HBO's DEADWOOD, AND CARNIVALE!

While Carnivale struggled to find an audience making the cancellation massively depressing but not surprising Deadwood was a completely different beast. Deadwood was not only a much better series then The Sopranos, but it was also beating The Sopranos in audience numbers. HBO killing that series when all it needed was one more season to be complete left me jaded to TV as a medium for quite some time. I'm still not over those losses even now with HBO being back on top due to shows like True Blood, Boardwalk Empire, and Game of Thrones. I still would love to kick some of the HBO executives in the balls.
