Freakin' Sailor Moon. I tried watching it dubbed again just for nostalgia's sake. I nearly ripped off my own ears in the first five minutes of episode one.

Pokemon and Yu-Gi-Oh (CARD GAMES ON MOTORCYCLES!) really.

I tried watching the newest Pokemon, and good God was that painful.

Pokemon has changed. It's better with less Pokemon, I'm not even sure how that's possible.

Ash, Misty, and Brock forever ;_;
Don't forget Team Rocket! They were the most awesome yet hilarious villains ever when I was a young larvae

Cracked ruined Thomas the Tank Engine for me when they pointed out the whole show is pretty much an undercover commentary on how fucked up our particular brand of capitalism is.

Yu-Gi-Oh!, I liked it when I was 12 for a year. Now it seems just stupid.
Yu-Gi-Oh is still fucking awesome.

...The first 2 or 3 seasons, that is. I stopped watching it one day and 5 years later I was zapping through TV and one of the newer episodes was running. Well, what the fuck. Card games on motorcycles?

...

I MEAN, SERIOUSLY?
If you lose you crash and die! How is that not awesome! :D
I remember in the old Yu-Gi-Oh, loosing meant having your soul trapped in an object, enduring endless torment.
You mean that big purple place that people go when they fall of building or get cut by a saw?

I remember a little while ago I remembered that when I was like 10 I watched the old Pokemon show a lot.

Curious, I figured I'd go see if it still held up at all.

...I couldn't get through the first episode. It was so terrible!
Not long after I apologised to everyone in my life that I had ever forced to watch it with me.

Spongebob has gone to crap ever since the movie and Hillenburg left which is a shame seeing as even today I can go back and watch a majority of the episodes from the first three seasons and some of the episodes released now makes you wonder how master pieces like Band Geeks ever got made. Well at least now I have MLP which doesn't seem to be declining anytime soon and seems to be exactly what the old Spongebob was.

The orignal Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles cartoon was the BEST! Even now I can go back and watch those episodes and laugh at the format alone. Every week Krang would send Shredder up to the surface to commit some random act of villainy that would somehow assure Krang's victory..."steal this laser" or "get this crystal". Something completely different every week and every week the turtles would foil the plans again.

Every incarnation since the first one just takes itself wwwaaayyy too seriously if you ask me. "Ingenious in its simplicity" is a good way to describe it.

Also, I want some station somewhere to start playing the old Darkwing Duck episodes again...that show rocked! :p

Dexter's Lab come to mind. I loved that show as a kid, but upon recently re watching it seemed like crap to me. The voice acting constantly jumps from decent to god horrid (though they might of been aiming for that) and what really pissed me off was the "side shows" that occasionally aired. I came here to watch a boy genius, not mutant primates and Avenger parodies.

I still consider it one of the most important cartoons of its time, but it hasn't aged well in my eyes.
The cast and crew for Dexter's Lab changed a few times too. I wasn't watching it when it finished up, but maybe too many of the original team left the show.
Strangely enough, the Monkey and Justice Friends parts of Dexter's Lab are the parts I liked more anyway.

Oh gods yes Power rangers was one I loved as a kid but my folks would never let me watch anything "violent". So that meant no power rangers or Monkey, even pokemon was very borderline, so whenever they were out I would sneak in and watch it I had even memorized the tune that green one played to call forth his zoid. recently however tried watching some of the newer incarnations, WHAT THE SODDING HELL HAPPENED. That said if I tried to rewatch the original ones now I would probably still feel the same but honestly there is no excuse for that acting none whatsoever. unless maybe it's a joke I just don't get.

The original Transformers. Largely because I hated how the only plot device the G1 series could whip up was "Oh, no! Megatron hijacked the 364th human structure in a row and is using it as a base to stockpile Energon! We must stop him! Again! And we'll stop him again next week!

The humans in that show didn't have any other purpose than to go "Aaaah. Help us, Optimus." in the most emotionless takes on panicked pleas for help ever produced. Hence why I didn't use exclamation marks.

CAPTCHA: golly jeepers.
Looks like I've offended the website itself. Didn't know the servers for The Escapist were G1 Trans-fans.

Postman frikken Pat.

He used to deliver his mail the good ol fashion way by van, but nowadays he has a high tech Aeroplane that delivers parcels, to have the series appeal to all these "new age" kiddie types.

A classic, and very British children's TV series ruined by needless modernism.

What a Joke...

Dragon Ball Z.
I considered it to be the coolest, most badass cartoon out there. But then I grew up and... Oh God. Either nothing happens or people scream for a quarter of an hour.

Man. All the old anime I use to watch.

Ash seems to get dumber with each season of pokemon. Plus the new pokemon that do pop up look stupid.

Yugioh has some dumbass motor cycle thing now(What is even the hell).

DBZ of course has GT, which I wont get into here.

And Ben10. That show use to be great but they just dont know where to go with it.

Knightrider, end of story (probably showing my age a little) So much so, that I refer to the whole 'old shows you used to love but now consider shit' as 'the Knightrider Effect'.

It is why I will never watch the A-Team series again.

In terms of Cartoons... Thundercats. So so much. I bought the first box set when it came out on DVD. Literally had to force myself to sit through them all. By the time I got to the end of season one, I was lying half catatonic on the sofa, wondering just why the hell I was torturing myself like this. Not only did the animation get horrifically bad (like it was much good in the first place) but the budget obviously ran out and they started reusing old footage. And I'm not talking stock footage here, like Liono doing his whole sword of omens thing...

One episode in particular will always stick in my mind. The scene takes place underground, and Slythe is saying something or other to Liono, and it cuts to a reaction shot. of Liono. Outside, in a forest, with a big smile on his face. It was such a Calculon moment...
