I'm not talking about shows that just plain suck, I mean what shows did you used to like that have now jumped the shark into bullshitsville? For me I wish they would just kill of the Simpsons, it used to be the best show on television but now lacks the humour and good stories it used to have.

Family Guy = for reasons you stated
American Dad = tries to hard to make conservative jokes
Cleveland Show = one big stereotype

X-Factor and all other "talent" shows - pumping out carbon copies of the same artists with the same song types every year is ridiculous.

I want to say the Cleveland show as I watched up to about episode 8 and hated it but my housemate (who has watched every episode) really likes it so it might have just taken a while to get going.

While it certainly isn't as good as it was, the show is a hell of a lot better than most things on TV.

I think Grey's is definitely hitting that edge. This season finale was pretty good, but otherwise it just seems so....stale.

Britain's Got Talent, X Factor, all of the musical shows with Graham Norton and Andrew Lloyd Webber, Simpsons, Family Guy.

I don't really watch much TV anymore, but these shows are among the reasons for that, so it makes logical sense to me to get rid of them and replace them with things that are actually good.

And apparently Simon Cowell has said it's time to stop BGT because apparently Britain doesn't have any talent left to mine. No Simon, it's just that all the talented people don't want to be exploited into obscurity while you steal all of their money.

other shows, American Idol, all reality shows, Heroes (the last season ended at a good point it should just stop there) and every show on the CW except Supernatural.

It used to be a light-hearted show I used to watch when I was much younger, but then developed into some kind of freak show going 80 MPH with all the humor removed.

Ugly americans. I mean it got another season who watches that show it's painfully boring and half assed. And why no heavenly and eastern mythological creatures? And why does the show consider talking robots A bigfoots to be mythical monsters? And don't get me started on the main characters.

True perhaps the title of this thread should have been "what shows used to be good but now aren't" (which incidentley is not what most people replied about).

"Reality" shows about mall cops (thank you Paul Blart for that crap), or pregnant teens, or some chick who popped out 8 kids. Congratu-frickin-lations. IF I watch reality shows, then they are about blue collar people. Cops, SWAT, Ice Road Truckers, License to Drill. The kind of shows where it is just your Average Joe showin up for work. Although the overly dramatic editing ticks me off. "The bit isn't turning! The drilling company could lose millions!" Uh huh, and? You ever seen on of those bad boys on fire? I have. Now THERE'S some drama.

Also, I agree with the above post that the Ghost Hunters shows need to go. All of them. I'd rather watch infinite reruns of battlestar galatica and star trek than one more cheesy jumping-a-shadows show.
