To get the obvious out of the way, Firefly.
When I read the thread title I immediately knew that I wanted to mention Firefly, only to find out the first reply already did.

Meh, I still want to mention it!

My Name is Earl
Scrubs (But I wouldn't have wanted season 9 to continue)
I'm not a massive follower of series so I can't think of much more.

Edit: Forgot the most important one; Blackadder!

Twin Peaks. I only recently finished the series and while I feel I got plenty of episodes, it really shouldn't have had that ending. Half a dozen characters die and it ends on the biggest cliffhanger I've seen on a TV show. That and the show itself was amazing.

Also: Rome. One of the best TV series that I've seen; the acting and writing were all fantastic, and it had terrific production values courtesy of HBO. Sadly, the ratings weren't good enough to justify the expense and it was cancelled after 2 seasons. A real shame.
What more could they have done with it though? The main character died and Augustus got control of Rome. There weren't any big political shifts until decades afterwards, so they'd have had to replace the cast anyway before anything interesting happened.

If you really want to see what happens after Augustus takes over on a TV show, try watching I, Claudius.

Also I'll agree on Firefly. In some ways I don't mind it being cancelled becsue that means there aren't any bad episodes but it would have been nice to have even 7 or 8 more just to resolve some of the loose plot threads.

Doraleous and Associates. Once you enter the Archives, there is not turning back.
Damn! I miss Doraleous too! That's the show that brought me to the Escapist, so i guess a bit of nostalgia there. ;)

I personally would like a continuation of:

Firefly
Angel (The Buffy spin-off)
Spectacular Spider-Man
Reaper (Look it up, it was a great show)

and Heroes.

Flash Forward. I hate cliff hanger endings. Though it had a habbit of jumping about a bit, the general idea was intriguing.

The problem was that it was cancelled halfway through writing season 2. The original plan was to have seasons three and four focus on the war between Rome and Egypt, but because of the cancellation it became part of season 2. The end result was around 15 years of history compressed into 8 episodes; while it still worked, and remained a very good show right until the end, it's a shame how much its scope was limited.

Heroes. Although it fell apart towards the end, I would have liked a proper conclusion.
Heroes is a really sad case, actually. Granted season 2 was bad, and season 3 was even worse, but with season 4 it was finally starting to get back on its feet. Frankly, I still think the show had run its course, lasting far longer than it deserved to, but it's a shame that it was cancelled when it was finally starting to get good again.

For the first few, I'm going to have echo previous sentiments:

Firefly
Arrested Development

Here are the other ones:

FreakyLinks
Krod Mandoon and the Flaming Sword of Fire (sure, it hasn't explicitly been cancelled but I think they just forgot to tell us)
Greg the Bunny
Freaks and Geeks
Undeclared

Firefly, Megas XLR, a proper end to Shaman King and Zoids, V, Stargate Universe(I don't care what anyone thinks it was good towards the end. Yes they should have had less of a focus on relationships but there you go the franchise is effectively dead now. It was a refreshing direction but could have been less soap opera like.), Heroes needs to be tied up as well and Samurai Jack.

Arrested Development and Whose Line is it Anyway have to be the top in my book. These shows were just too good for their time, and just now they are becoming really popular. The critics always raved about these shows, but due to poor marketing (and more popular shows in the same timeslot), they were shelved. I would really like to see a return for these two shows.
