Shulk in Smash

So basically we can take this as confirmation that the leak is totally true, even though there was very little doubt in the first place.

Yeah...now that I've got that out of my system, I'm obviously very excited about this news. I can guarantee that I will start learning to master Shulk as early as he's available in the game. Beyond just the fact that it's Shulk and Shulk is an awesome character from an awesome game, it sounds like they're putting his Monado powers to good use to make him a fun character for the game.

In short, hearing this news was a great way to start the day.

Fake leaks one after another all claimed he was in it, and I kept telling kids "they can't put Shulk in, because Shulk sucks and I hate him. I may as well just kill myself if they actually do that."

Of course, that was meant in jest, but Shulk is terrible and I hate him...

And then they made him say "Now it's Shulk time!" and I giggled and they won me over.

I really need to play Xenoblade Chronicles again, though I wasn't very impressed with it the first time I played it, maybe if the 3DS port thing is true I will give it another shot.

OT: Looks like the leaks were true, Sakurai is probably extremely pissed off. Oh, and that swimsuit costume, now nobody can complain about ZSS's skimpy costume.

As much as I loved to see Shulk in the game but I feel the only reason they added him was cos of the sucess of Xenoblade Chronicle, if that game had been a flop I doubt they would had added him. I mean he had only star in one game at the moment.

Also it's a shame they can never utualise his future prediction into the game (the whole gimmick to Xenoblade chronicle)other than blocking.

Never played Xenoblade so...I don't really care. To me he just feels like yet another human character with a sword that this game has to offer...so we're up to...what...6? (Link, Toon Link, Marth, Ike, Lucina, Shulk...am I missing anyone?)

Though I'm slightly annoyed at myself because She-Hulk is my favorite comic book character so every time I see the word "Shulk" pop up I assume it's about her.

But to say something positive, I can respect them throwing in a character from another series. Represent as many series as possible is a good way to go.

It might be a joke based around the fact that there was at least one time in the game where the armor with the highest stats would put the character in a swimsuit. The swimsuit he is in in the video is same one Shulk would have been in if you equipped that armor.

Well, that's interesting to hear. I heard of the character leaks, and I been avoiding those like the plague. Was Shulk one of them?

Well there is Meta Knight, and Robin uses a sword too. Pit technically has swords, so I would count him too. I personally don't mind there being a whole bunch of sword wielders. In the realm of video game characters, it's sort of an inescapable character trait anyway.

For a minute there I thought they were going to include the Hulk in Smash Bros. I'm a little disappointed they aren't because that would've been awesome.

I was one of those who said " There's no way Shulk could be in Smash", I would even dismiss most earlier leaks concerning him. After the most recent leak and this, I'm actually excited. Now I'm crossing my fingers for Isaac.

Going into battle half naked Dunban's thing really. one of his abilities is to get an agility/ agro buff from not wearing any sort of armor at all.

It seems like Shulk might be a bit of a risky character to use considering how each Monado skill raises and lowers stats depending on what's being used.
