I hope the cut-off hasn't happened yet, I'm still doing my sheet. Does anyone know whether we can have training of the same level as Hit Girl? Or do we have to be like regular people?

Sorry I have been away for a while. I'm working on the opening post as we speak. It will either be up later tonight or tomorrow morning.

In regards to NimbleJack's question yes you can have training like Hit Girl as long as there is a plausible explanation.

Name: Thomas Radcliff

Hero Alias: The Grey Hatter

Age: 24

Equipment: Heavily modified netbook, as well as a PDA of his own design, and an assortment of different cables. He also carries with him his only weapon, a self built tazer designed to stun people for prolonged amounts of time. But the weapon has adjustable output and could possibly fry nerves or cause heart failure on the highest setting.

Appearance: Thomas is about 5'10" tall and weighs about 150 lbs. He has short brown hair, and blue eyes. Usually dresses professionally, if rather boring, with denim jeans, a shirt which always hangs loosely outside his pants, and a dark blue or black blazer or suit jacket.
As the Gray Hatter - Wears a gray, victorian style suit, complete with a waistcoat, a white shirt, a cravat in matte sliver, and a collapsible gray top-hat. He also wears black leather gloves and a gray highwayman's mask. Tends to sometimes use a black and silver cane while in his disguise as well.

Personality: Cautious (To the point of bordering on cowardice), prone to sudden bursts of heroism. Usually likes being left alone, and believes that most things can be settled with his technological expertise in some way or another.
Becomes more outgoing, extravagant, and eccentric as the Gray Hatter, though he swears that it's the costume rubbing off on him.

Biography: Thomas grew up in what could be called a normal family, his father was a mechanic and his mother worked as a receptionist.
His technological knack was visible from an early age, when he would often dismantle most of what he got his hands on, and received a little training from his dad when it came to the more mechanical aspects. However, he soon found that computers where his true passion, and decided to focus his attention within that field, but he still has more than rudimentary knowledge of mechanical and electronic devices.
Shortly after entering high school he started training aikido, mostly to keep the people who bullied him because of his cautions nature off his back.
Later he moved away from home to study for his bachelor of Computer Security in Computer Science. And, after attaining this, worked shortly as a corporate white hat hacker, being paid to uncover security faults in company software, breach them, and then improve it so that the same method could not be employed again.
However, he found this too restricting, and noticed a lot of potential security breeches in important local security systems, which could possibly cripple certain smaller companies and businesses. And so he went freelance and started hacking outside the legal boundaries, eliminating errors and securing systems without the owners knowledge, seeing this as him doing his part for society.
A little prior to the Kick-ass incident he managed to hack into the surveillance cameras of a private security company, and browsed through them for fun for a little while. But soon came over a scene of three thugs assaulting somebody in an alley. He desperately tried to alert the guards at the security panel that this person needed help, but nothing happened. And, after a while, he ended up hacking into the local law enforcement's systems and dispatched a squad car to the premises himself. Probably saving the persons life in the process.
After the news with Kick-Ass, he too realized that he could do something more for society, even with his limited fighting capabilities. After all, his technical expertise was more than good enough to give him the upper hand in most situations. And so he donned the guise of the Gray Hatter, the costume being put together through eBay, a few net-based tailor shops, and pieces he had lying around from a costume party a few weeks prior.
He founds his operations with cash siphoned from the accounts of 'known' criminal elements and black hat hackers, finding it ironic, and slightly fitting, that the money they wrestle out of society is being used against them.

The sun set on the skyline of New York City. Though as the sun goes down and the night begins the terrors of the street emerge. With crime at an all time high police sirens can be heard ringing through the streets. Gangs are beginning to spread across the 5 boroughs. Many people are to scared to leave their homes and choose to cower in their apartments.

Though there is some hope. Costumed heroes patrol the streets. They try to clean up the streets as much as they can though it just seems more and more "villains" start to spring up.

Though on this night, like all the ones before it, something big is going down

Ok this is my first opening post ever. I know it's horrible but it's the best I got. You should introduce your characters on a random night of patrol (or whatever your characters do at night) and I'll drop in a story arc once everyone has posted.

Garrett stood in front of the mirror in his bedroom, "This shit would be so much easier if I had a partner," he said to himself. "One of these days, you're gonna get stabbed stopping a purse-snatcher, and you're gonna blackout and bleedout, and you're not gonna have anyone to take you to a hospital." Garrett stepped onto his windowsill, crouching in the window with the light in his room shining behind him. He slipped on his mask and dropped down into the alley next to his house.

After getting a few blocks away from his family's apartment, he broke into a light jog, keeping his ears open for any sirens or screams. He was already used to the weird looks he got patrolling the streets, he was wearing a metal mask for godsakes, it was still mildly upsetting though, he was trying to help innocent people, why can't they just accept that?

"It's not like I'm the one mugging old ladies. I'm actually trying to help these bastards, and all I get are dirty looks. Fucking disappointment-"

HammerDown's internal monologue was cut short by police siren's wailing as the patrol cars zoomed past him. Not taking a break in his step, he spun around and sprinted after them.

"Melody Krage dons her costume yet again, preparing for another night of fighting crime. By day, she's a lazy bum, and sometime babysitter, and by night-"

Sighing, Melody finished putting on her leather outfit, tightening the multitude of straps down her body. "Ya just can't help it, can ya, Marcy? Instead a takin' care o' yer clients-"

"I don't have any tonight!" her friend and fellow worker protested innocently. "I think you took 'em all!"

"...ya just stand there an' narrate! If you wanna make money tonight, you could put on a silly costume like what I'm doin'!" Melody glared as Marcy laughed uproariously, collapsing upon the bed in fits. "And besides, you shouldn't be encouragin' yer little sister like that! What if she went gallivantin' around in a costume 'cause o' yer stories?!"

"Who, Sarah?" Marcy giggled, rolling over in the bed so she could face Melody. "She's too smart for that. She's actually the one who turned me into one o' your fans!" Getting out of bed and embracing Melody in one fluid motion, Marcy looked deep into her friends eyes, and solemnly uttered, "...my hero."

She then burst into laughter and collapsed back onto the bed, leaving Melody to sputter, "Dammit, Marcy, don't do that!"

Picking up the whip on her bedside table, Melody left their shared room and walked down the hallway, passing several of her coworkers with a smile in greeting, and headed down the stairs to the waiting room, where tonight's clients were waiting in different states of excitement.

Kathleen sat in her car on the cold blaring night. Sipping the last drags of her energy drink slurpy amusing herself with the irritating noise the plastic cup echoed. Her boss wouldn't let her work late nights to earn the much needed cash, but then its never a good idea to leave a 22 year old girl alone in a convenient store late at night in a dodgy neighborhood.
"Muzzafraz..." She grumbled through the straw. New york was safer at 12 then it was at 9 anyway, half the lowlifes she had helped pick off were gangs who went to work at 9:30 before going back to their cribs to do dope until 2. Not very exciting work, but enough of them had been getting picked up off the street that they knew something was wrong.
"Drop-Shot 1; Devil Bones 0..." She giggled, "Devil got BONED by a little girl-"
Sirens cut through the crisp air.
'Cops? but its only 10:30...' she thought turning the engine on 'Well... maybe I can get something for Latenight?...' Her camera still had a little battery left, a freelance shot or two was always handy....

James Darwin sat in his bed and watched lazily out the window as cars drove by his window. Nothing interesting had happned in the whole night. He stood up and walked up to the full body mirror. A small spot of blood could be seen on his white T-shirt, next to a hole in it. He dragged the shirt off, and searched with his eyes for the medical alcohol. When he had patched up and disinfected the wound, he took on a new shirt and walked out to the kitchen for a snack. Suddenly the phone rang. It was Sophie.

Sophie had been James companion ever since he started to help people in need on a regular basis. She had never been on the field herself, but she made sure that his identity was kept secret, and got him messages from people in need. He had secretly loved her for years, but hadn't showed his feelings once, so now she was with some jock from their Highschool. She called him now for a potential gunfught in an alley.

As he came in to Sophies room, he could see her sitting by the window, looking through a pair of bioniculars. She didn't notice him come in, and he moved towards the turned on computer. On it was a news website open, showing an article where a man had claimed to have been assulted by a man wielding a chain. Assulted? I would call that a pinch compared to what he did a few minutes before...
He walked up to Sophie, who wasn't expecting him at all, indicated by the large jump she made when he put his hand on her shoulder.
"What's our plan on that?", he said, pointing at the computer screen.
"Well, we can't do much about you beating people up with a chain, but we could at least cover your identity a little more...", she said, looking at him with her deep blue eyes.
"Isn't this enough", he said with a laugh as he put on his signature sunglasses, in a shape most unusuall. The highly reflective glass on the outside was tinted red, and if he saw them for the first time, he would never have guessed that you could actually see through them from the other side.
"No.", she said, smiling at James ridiculous sunglasses. "I'm thinking something more like this..."

Sophie pulled up a cardboard box labled 'Te Stalker'. When she opened the box, James could see a costume made of dark red leather, with odd seamwork going around it.
"Go ahead, try it on."
When James had the entire suit on, he felt that it was more comfortable than he had expected. In the bottom of the box he had taken it from, he saw something else. His old chain, coloured with chrome, and with a hook attatvhed to the end.
"Did you do this?", he said with a smile on his lips as he took it up.
"I did. Now, Next to Huan Dong, that asian resturant, I saw some guys making a deal. I noticed that one of them carried a gun, and now..." She handed the Bionoculars to James. He saw the men talking loudly, shoving eachother once in a while. They didn't seem to happy.
"I suggest you do your normal rutine, hide nearby, and wait untill it gets dangerous. Strike with accuracy."
She waved him goodbye, and James climbed out the window.

Phil, dressed as Lantern Jack, stood on the edge of a rooftop, looking down at the city. He kind of liked the downtime between fighting crimes, but he loved the feel of his fist colliding with a mugger's face. He chuckled as he thought about it. He began to wonder if he might have issues, but then concluded that if it's gotten to the point that he's standing on a roof, wearing a Halloween mask, and looking for bad guys, then maybe.

In the distance, Jack could hear faint sirens. Grinning under his mask, he turned toward the sound and set off to where the excitement was.
