I have one sister who's three years younger than me. She's living in another province right now, and I find that we get along better when we're appart. Otherwise we get on each other's nerves too easily.

I am so glad I'm an only child :D
I agree with these two.

Gotta love not having to deal with another person around the house. :D

I have two sisters. One is currently overseas and the other will be leaving to go overseas in two weeks, so it really doesn't matter. But i do get along really well with them.

Ah, the burden of siblings... one of both kind, all two a few years younger than me.
My brother is the "too cool for everything, wearing caps all day and sleeping in street clothes because pyjamas are for loosers"-type, so yeah, not really that sympathetic. Also his room is extremely dirty, crammed with garbage and clothes he still wears are spread all over the floor - contrary to that I'm a germophob ... mostly I don't really like to be near him or his room.
My sister on the other hand is a "little" introverted brat. Also I haven't seen any friends of hers for years.
One can safely assume I'd have prefered to be a sole child.

Will trade brother for pokemon cards, who's in?

I have an older brother and sister and i am pretty close to both even though we all live in different cities.

I am surprised how many people have bad things to say about their siblings, but maybe I am lucky

As a rough consensus of friends and people i know, the further apart the ages of siblings the better they got on.

Everyone with siblings 1-2years in age range seemed to hate each other during the teenage years, those i know with larger gaps (my brother is 6 years younger + other friends with 4-5age gaps) seem to get on fine.

We're all 27-30 years old now, and 95% of those that did have issues with siblings when younger didn't past 20 years-old or so.

Wow. Am I glad I don't have siblings like most of you. 1 sister. We don't talk to each other much, but when we were younger we had this huge emphatic thing going on where if she was sad, I was sad. She does not bother me in any way, and is a great sibling.

Opposite for me. Sister is roughly A year and 3 months older than me, and we get along fine.

I have one younger brother of about 2 years. Everything I am, he is the exact opposite. He is short, I'm reletivily tall. I'm quiet, he's the loudest person you will ever meet.

Hell right now he's yelling over every kill he gets in MW2 with the throwing knife. I honestly can't stand him some times, but you never know what you have until it's gone I suppose....and without him, I'd be out a Co-Op teamate.

I had 2 brothers and a sister, oldest bro was certifiable psycho, I mean he had been in the rubber room and all, he had a distinctly unhealthy fixation (hatred) of me as long as I could remember , at every opportunity he would strangle me, stub cigarettes out on me, punch and kick me and also hit me with various things that came to hand. He actually broke a dinner plate on my face, and fractured my skull with a chair. his creepy behavior got even worse as time went by, and he started creeping into my room when I was 12 and smothering and strangling me ,whispering about how he was going to kill me one day etc. I came to a head soon after that behavior manifested itself, And I cut him up with a carving knife at a bbq, it seems that even the most non violent victim can take only so much. A year after that he committed suicide thank god! And no their is no sentimental attachment to that sick crazy son of a *****.
