Sometimes I wonder what it would be like to have siblings then I find a thread such as this and smile because I never will have to endure it. High five to all the only child people!

I have an older sister, who just turned 27. We're both going to the same college, so I live with her. She can be annoying when she tries to run my life, particularly since she's made some poor decisions with her own. I put up with it, mostly because I think her intentions are good, hypocritical as she is sometimes. I do care about her.

We think alike in some ways, but she's far more extroverted and impulsive than I am, and has embraced her creative side. She's into art and design. I, on the other hand, have a technophile/engineer brain. But we both drive like maniacs (she more aggressively than me, even!), both enjoy cars, shooting, video games (though she's not a gamer), etc.

younger brother, younger stepsister, younger stepbrother, older stepsister. i have it hard. do not get fooled by some of the posts about kind siblings. no siblings are kind. not even yourself once you get a sibling. do not have brothers, sisters, stepbrothers or stepsisters, if you want to live your life in peace. if you dont want to live your life in peace go and fight in a war but whatever anyone else says, do not let your parents give you a sibling. and i know as i write this that this speech will go down in history. thank you for listening. any questions?

One older brother by 3 and a half years...and he and I are basically opposites. I am in college now, majoring in Computer Animation, and he just graduated with a degree in Political Science. He did an internship under a senator at our state's capitol for a few years, and in January I will begin an internship in Disney World for 8 months.

Don't get me wrong, I do love seeing him when I get the chance. Ever since he went to college I only see him once every few months, and now it's even less now that he's married and I'm in a different college like 150 miles away from him. I didn't used to miss him that much, but now I feel like I'm missing so much.
aww i would feel sorry for you. only i know what brothers are like. i am trying to feel sorry but at this very moment my brother is torturing me. sorry. i did try to be sorry. but like i say it is hard. very hard to be sorry.

3 younger siblings. Kind of annoying but they're getting older (the youngest is now 14) so in a few years they should be bearable. Luckily I already moved out a few years ago.

I have a 9-years-older half-brother (shared mom, different dad) and a one year younger full brother. They're both crazy, but I love them now that they don't try to kill me.

No, seriously.

I don't know how many I have. My twin sister and I were adopted - we didn't know our parents very well but we were told we do have siblings, but I don't know anything about them - except an older brother I do know of, but I've only met him twice and he is already an overprotective psycho.

The family I was adopted into has children, so I guess they count as siblings? I think they do. They have 4 girls and 2 boys.

My twin sister is the only one I really consider being close to though.

I have an older brother. I have not seen him in some 5 and a half years and am not sure that I can clearly picture his face.

We are both in our 30s and have little in common. I guess the family bond was not very strong.
