Runescape is a crappy big game many people have heard of.

Not their fault, it's yours.

I think you need to go educate yourself.

Just because you haven't heard of a game, doesn't mean its small. Also, People talk about what they like, If you have a problem with that, Dont wear a headset.

And yes, I do happen to like[/I] runescape.

So... you want people to stop talking about things that you don't know about? Sorry, your highness, allow me to forget 99% of everything I know.

Meh, that was Half-Life 2 for me, but I think our mindsets differ in one major way. I can accept that other people have different tastes. Everyone's different, that's what makes life interesting. The after-school specials were right god damn it!

Generally on multiplayer and in life when I hear people talking about a game, it's not "little", which is why they've even heard of it to begin with.

Sometimes that happens, but... really, dude, get over it. Sometimes people online like talking to each other about stuff. Just because you don't know about what they're talking about doesn't mean they should stop talking about it. I mean if it's getting annoying, don't play any more games with them, but it's more than a little self-centered to expect people to stop talking about something just because you don't know about it.

You mind enlightening me on what this means? Using capital letters and punctuation might help your cause. You know I've heard of good typing games, that teach you to type with all your fingers and to use capital letters and other things other than small letters too. They come in many flavors, like shooting zombies and aliens.

Never play a game just because other people are talking about it, look into it first and see if you'd actually like it.

I remember getting Fallout 3 just because everyone was talking about it, turns out i hated it.

It means that some of the "popular" games that people always talk about are not as good as people say they are. e.g. runescape: people always talk about how good it is and its free and whatever, but you need to pay to get anything good, they removed all the good/okay bits in it and brutally murdered anything in it that was fun.

I sense that someone has a grudge against a game.

If you don't like a game, ignore the people talking about it. That's what I do, so I can't really relate to your problem.

I'm sure there are, but as this is a forum and not an english essay, and as i can work out what he means I feel that I can let him off. If you do not have the reasoned logic to work out what he means, browse the forums for "are there any games which are popular but were shit" and you will find millions. Its the first response of people who play a game they don't like which they also happened to hear good things about. Although if runescape is so shit (I tried it and I'm not a fan) then why do SO many people play it? They must have done something right.

I somewhat understood the original post, but that one went waaay over my level of understanding. It may not be an English essay, I make mistakes too, but making yourself easily understandable is not always such a bad idea.

On topic (I forgot to get there when I was first posting), the greatest disappointment for all it's hype was the MW2 (not a "small" game, but still) multiplayer, mainly just because of it's amazing spawn system.

And if you count my brother hyping Star Trek legacy and me ragequiting it over bad controls after half an hour of play, then that too.
