It means that some of the "popular" games that people always talk about are not as good as people say they are. e.g. runescape: people always talk about how good it is and its free and whatever, but you need to pay to get anything good, they removed all the good/okay bits in it and brutally murdered anything in it that was fun.

Also, OP: You're being quite ignorant here. People can talk about whatever the Hell they want, who are you to say what people can and can not talk about? By the way, not everything that's free sucks. DDO, for example, is a free to play MMO that's awesome. Granted it does have microtransactions, but they're not necessary. Also, if you got a free game as a present does that mean it sucks?
