Yeah, the main character was badass in Saints Row 2, but I still think Gatt was even better! My favorite scene must have been when they where at the funeral.

I think a much better thread would be main characters that are better than any of the side characters, far rarer. I honestly can't think of one off the top of my head. Well okay maybe Malcolm Reynolds from firefly, but even that one's debateable

I almost always hate main characters or at least prefer someone else to the main. There are two exceptions, Alucard of Hellsing and Edward Elric of FMA. Also, since FFs are on here quite a bit...

No frikkin' way! Lestat has more personality in his pinkie than Louis has is his entire body! Louis' so damn emo! Interview was so hard to get through when it's just him blathering on about how tragic everything around him was. It's only when Lestat, Armand, and Claudia are present that the book's fun to read.

Now Lestat, he's just in it for the thrill, the fun of it all, and to hell with the consequences. He's a true fiend, and damn proud of it. He shook the very core the vampire civilization, and did it all with a smile. He was Dante, traversing Heaven and Hell at one point.

Sorry about the rant. But seriously, Louis!?!!

Sorry again. Now, if you had said, Gabrielle was better then Lestat, or Marius was better Lestat, then maybe.

Gotta say, I totally agree. Actually, I preferred Armand of all the characters in the book AND in the movie. Well, okay, he was second only to Claudia...she was pretty damn badass for a kid and really the only one who dealt with her immortality "properly". And Armand only lost me when he went all moony over Mr. Whiny Pants, but what're ya gonna do?
