How many people here on the Escapist still play old Sierra adventure games?
Like Laura Bow, and the King's Quests?

My Brother and I both play them frequently, even though we have every puzzle down to an art.

They never seem to lose their charm; If anything they gain some.

Yep. S.W.A.T, Evil Genius, Caesar, Homeworld, No One Lives Forever, Arcanum. Can't forget Leisure Suit Larry!

I was never much into the old Sierra adventure games, but I did recently do a run through of the old Quest for Glory games. And I did enjoy Arcanum even if the combat system was somewhat broken.

I loved Kings Quest and Space Quest. Alas my poor old collections won't run on a modern PC, I'm too lazy to use GOG and the steam versions are buggy as hell and won't run on anything other than XP unless you have l33t hacking skills.

They published some good stuff they didn't make.
From their own stuff Gabriel Knight was the best game.

I'm playing through King's Quest VII again right now, actually. I got the Steam version working on my computer. One of my favorite games.

I played Quest for Glory tons as a kid! (It was dated already when I was a kid... I'm only 20 [well, 20 in two weeks] years old :3)

Given the recent titles, we can sure try!
Nah, just remember that it's not Leisure Suit Larry without Al Lowe on the team.

And yes. In fact I went and grabbed the sierra installers to run the older games on newer systems. Works beautifully!

7 was the first one I ever played in the series.

I still play the original World in Conflict and War of the Ring. Good times.

Oh yes. Love World in Conflict, and am now re-discovering SWAT 3 [http://www.gog.com/en/gamecard/swat_3_tactical_game_of_the_year_edition].

Figure I should also link to GoG's list of Sierra games [http://www.gog.com/en/catalogue#all_genres/search/sierra].
