Silent Hill HD collection new voiceovers.......Don't sound half bad!

The older stuff: Better fitting, yet more awkward.

The newer stuff: Slightly more emotive and a bit more natural but OH MY HEAVENS WHAT DID THEY DO TO JAMES' VOICE!?

Well, they made Jame's voice better. The old voice actor for James didn't have any experience with voice acting at all, and it showed throughout the game.

Basically it's a compendium of Silent Hill 2 and 3 (the best ones) slightly remastered for High Definition for release on X-Box 360 and PS3.

Alright, just going on what is in that video (which is a small part overall):
Mary sounds wrong, although in the original she had a lot more static over the voice in the video which probably added to the work.
Eddie sounds wrong, very very wrong. He seems to have aged about 20 years through his voice. I always took him for a slightly 'slow' 19yr old. now he sounds about 40.
Maria, Like! It fits better, she sounds sexier and more mysterious.
James, Not sure. I don't like his speaking voice, but (in the clip) when he gets angry, he sounds good.

The new voice actors aren't that bad but I'll still miss the original actors. The under acting actually added to the atmosphere, made it so even during the quieter cut scenes things weren't quite as they seemed.

Exactly what i would say, the bad voices that sounded slightly, off, were always part of the strange charm of the game.

I like the game to get this anyway, so we'll see when it finally gets released. It might just be that people are resistant to change.
Like in 2001 when Pioneer Redubbed Akira. Suddenly, uproar. Then everyone settled down and realised that the original dub was a load of wank.
