Silliest reasons for getting banned

The only time I can recall being banned from a server was back in the beta days of Counter Strike. I had just joined the game and was skulking about with a MAC-10 with a friend. I turned around just to check behind us right as the remaining three members of the terrorist team rounded the corner. In a blind panic, I waved the MAC-10 in their general direction spraying bullets and accidentally got three head shots in the time it took to discharge a magazine. I was kicked and banned because cheating was a more plausible explanation than extraordinary dumb luck.

I got kicked out of a CS game for killing people. Apparently I stumbled onto a chat server or some BS.

I made some off-hand comment in a Half-Life 2 deathmatch server once.
The last words I heard were "A GIIIIIIIIIRL?", something vaguely sexist that I don't remember, and then I was banned.
It was an odd experience.

i got baned in MW2 for doing absolutely nothing...i was playing, and then BAM! cheat detected pops up, and now something like 6-ish months later, they issue a public apology for people who were wrongly banned, (12 thousand people their automated system banned) but when i asked when i'd be getting my account back they said oh no, we're sorry your ban was completely unrelated to the other ilegitemate bans, and the ban was applied legitimately....our system confirms it.

thats right, their system that baned 12,000 inocent people confirms that MY ban was LEGIT...

I was a T in a jailbreak CSS server.

I managed to rebel and kill most of the ct team, I got banned because they thought I was hacking...

iirc the thread was about telling knock knock jokes, and my answer was.

Then banned.

I got kicked off a server on Jedi Academy because...err...I don't really know. The host said I was really annoying, but I don't remember doing anything that would typically get on someone's nerves.

And while playing Red Dead Redemption, I got invited by a bunch of English guys to join their posse. As soon as I opened my mouth, they kicked me out just because I wasn't British. I just responded with good ol' sarcasm. Oh geez, what was I thinking? I didn't realize I was on the British internet. It's as if I thought the internet was international or something.

I've been booted from a few games on XBL, but I don't really play multiplayer on PC, apart from with friends, so I haven't really been banned from any games...

I regularly get kicked or People just try to kick me for alledged hacking. Even though i have never hacked in any Multiplayer Game because that'd be like admitting Defeat before i even tried.

By default tho, apparently im so good that even ESL Progamer are calling me a Hacker on Occasion simply because i play better than them or simply get luckier than them. Sometimes makes me wonder whatever happened to "Learn from every Defeat" because those People arent learning, at all.

Closest I've had is that I once got kicked from a casual guild for not raiding. Go figure.
When I joined the guild, they knew why I wouldn't be attending the weekly raids, but I think the guild leader wanted to go from social guild to full raiding guild :/.
Apparently my presence was frowned upon by the GM all of a sudden. I talked to other guild members who thought I was fine to be in the guild, but oh well, the GM was a bit of a strange person in general anyway.

I think everyone's been kicked from an online gaming sever for actually being too good.

And those Christian tf2 servers, oh my god. Those those stories are not fairy tales, those servers do exist.

You sure you're telling us the whole story?

For all we know, your "announcement" could have been something along the lines of:

"I AM A GIRL WITH TITTIES!"

Just saying.

OT: Don't think I've ever been banned. Though I did get kicked out from a raiding party in WoW because it was my first time in a raid and I was inexperienced.

The problem with that? They all knew it beforehand and told me it was alright to come along.
