Disclosure: I am not making this up.

Did you think the Nissan charging station was something to get riled up over? Well...

EA has announced a partnership with Crest & Oral-B. The Attractions set, which includes tourist destinations build-able, will be obtained via buying marked tube of toothpaste/dental floss and obtaining a code. Don't believe me? Here's where EA hosts an FAQ on the DLC:

https://help.ea.com/article/simcity-attractions-set-faq

And here's where you turn in the code:

https://crest.ea.com/crestiwg/front.do

Thoughts?

Remember not to play it right after playing the Tropicana Orange Juice DLC! The horror!

OT: Eh, It sounds lame, and I certainly won't be buying any more toothpaste because of it, so I find it hard to care too much. What does it actually do gameplay-wise anyway? Just adds happiness with no downsides or cost at all?

Yeah I made a thread about it a few days ago -_- absolutely idiotic to keep releasing DLC before the game core is fixed.

Oh, sorry. I just heard of it a few hours ago and thought nobody here heard of it yet. =P Still kinda speechless. This is the kinda thing people joke about, and now it's happening for real.

The Escapist included an article on it as well.

And yep, it sounded stupid then as well.

It's amazing but EA managed to produce something worse than Horse Armor DLC.

Yeah, just keep shooting yourself EA. I'm sure it'll fix all the wounds eventually.

Side note. Criterion, take the NFS series and RUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUN!

Unfortunately EA likes to keep a death grip on its IP's so they can later remake them into generic shooters.

But yes, any dev that isn't under contract should cut and run now before EA decide to 'refocus' again.

Ladies and gentlemen, the reason I hate EA in a nutshell. I almost feel they are trying to piss us off by taking a broken game, and instead of fixing it releasing... this?!

Somehow I doubt they'd do that with Need For Speed. Especially since criterion seems to know what they're doing with this series.

You can never really be sure, especially with a company with a terminal case of Management Stupidity.

I supposed I could hope rockstar makes a new midnight club game. Also, I should probably get one midnight club game.
