The squirrel tried to avoid the tomahawk but was too slow. The tomahawk hit it across its back and broke its spine. The poor animal squealed in agony once, then was silenced forever.

Eric grinned, and closed his bag.
Hearing Robert mutter something, he looked up.

If this message has made it, it means that my pet rat has survived the journey to your safe-house. Good, keep the rat as a token of our love. But listen Joanne, I need you to head get to the Internis as quickly as you can. Remember I marked the trees that lead to it with transversals. I trust you remember what you learned in your geometry classes? I may not have much time left so hurry!"
The letter is half signed at the bottom: all that can be read of the signature is "Ato"
