Root Beer. Only root beer, but never Mug or Barqs if I can help it. I prefer Jones if I have an extra buck (pure cane soda) or otherwise IBC or Stewarts.

Yaay sugar! Don't really get why people think just giving diabetics sugar would kill them. Sigh.
And over time, I've actually gotten to like diet more. The extra bite is preferable to me. Regular soda feels like it leaves a...a "skin" on my tongue, and it just...feels weird.

When it comes to soda, I prefer cola.

As for colas, I prefer Pepsi. Partially because it tastes better than Coke but mostly because it mixes so well with whiskey.

My second favorite would have to be cream soda.

I've drunk so many soft drinks I'm thoroughly sick of anything produced by Coca Cola or Pepsi. At least these taste approximately of fruit.

I know sugar doesn't*. My dad is a diabetic, and he drinks a lot of different sodas that aren't Diet. [Mountain Dew, Pepsi, Coke, etc.]
I don't know. I had Diet Pepsi... left a weird after taste.
I had Diet Mountain Dew... that was just terrible.

Ah. I've just run into waaay too many people who automatically assume that it does.
I can see how you'd form a dislike for them if you've only had diet Pepsi.
It's just a bit too sweet, honestly. Actually, it's always reminded me of a strangely
flavored water.
Diet Mountain Dew is good enough. As noted before, I go for the beautiful thing called caffeine!

Soda, on the other hand, is much cheaper, and I can tolerate more of it before my system shuts down and gangs up on me for a day of torture.
Plus, I don't have to tolerate the tall, grande, venti crap.

The hell I don't know of Rio! I love that stuff - though I prefer Lilt, now there is a real drink. XD
