The Escapist officially approves of rain? Rain is good when its not to cold and very brief, with the sun still shining. An overcast, groggy, very humid day is hardly fun, even with rain.

The soothing pitter patter of rain when I am indoors and I don't have to wander out in it
A hot drink, like a cup of tea, hot chocolate, or coffee
A big bag of "Dorito's" or "Cheetos"
Having a long, warm shower
One or a few of these activities do a lot to calm me down and serves to cheer me up in an instant
