Honestly I got to throw this out there:

Why is everyone just remaking pixelated images? I love this game, but that's not exactly creative. It's impressive, but it's just about as creative as buying a lego product and building it with the instructions.

I'd love to see some original stuff if anyone feels like posting it.

Well, I just got started on this stuff, its really interesting building it and seeing it come together. Its great for starters, since the game is pixelated by nature. I'm going to start working on 3D models relatively soon.

you're making those in the full version (not the trial "build" version), you have a truckload of time to harvest that much gold/diamond/obsidian

that's actually more impressive then the actual designs.

the designs are simple - their old console designs

but the bright blue, gold and black blocks? those are tough to comeby.. I've played the game on and off for weeks and I haven't found more then about 9 diamond blocks, 5 obsidian blocks and 12 gold blocks.. and to make THOSE blocks of gold/diamond you need 9 of each..

[small]You can hack them in with some a few extra programs. I don't really use them unless I am testing a new update in my test world.[/small]

I'm not much into the pixel art scene, so here is two of my projects from times gone by:

The world got deleted when my computer crashed, and at that point I was not yet taking backups =(.

Standing on top of the lighthouse from the previous picture. Used one of the editting programs I was talking about above to change my world to a snow one to see what it would look like on the day that Notch added snow. It would look cooler if the draw distance was further, but that as taken with it on far so I couldn't get any more of the map into the screenshot.
