Since Nintnedo will soon cease production on the Wii, what are the must have games on the system?

Just because it's only been mentioned once, I have to put up more props to Okami. Also, Mad World was really fun too.

Aside from the voice acting, I seriously do not understand what's wrong with Other M. It's a fun game to play and has really good combat. Please tell me what else is wrong with it, because I just don't see it.

And on that note, Other M is a good Wii game to buy.
But but it ruined Samus forever as a character and raped my childhood memories /sarcasm

I agree with you to be honest. The hatred for Other M is completely OTT

Oh, and, I don't want any game that forces me to use that stupid wag stick. For instance I'd like to play Twilight Princess, but a friend of mine told me I have to use the wag stick because a normal control won't work. Fucking disappointing if you as me.

-_-
You could just buy the Gamecube version that was released at the same time.Identical game but no motion controls

Please fix your quoting, I don't want people to think that I liked Other M.

Here's a question I have. I've had no interest in the Wii since release, but there has been some Wii games that came out that did catch my eye. So if I get a Wii U and decided to get some Wii games. What should I get?

Thing is, some of the best games on the Wii were the ones that actually implemented motion controls well. Look at Metroid Prime Trilogy, for instance. With Corruption, Retro Studios showed that motion controls could no only work, they could actually make things like aiming in FPS games better. Or how Skyward Sword showed that motion controls, wehn properly implemented, can do all sorts of wonderful things for melee combat.

I think you're doing yourself a disservice by intentionally ignoring motion controls. The best games on any system are games that play to the system's strengths. Like it or not, motion controls were an integral part of the Wii's design, and there are plenty of games that used those controls in an intuitive, fun manner.
Yeah...

I don't know... maybe?

I mean I really do want to play a lot of games that came out on the Wii:

-Twilight Princess
-Skyrward Sword
-Xenoblade
-The Last Story

A lot of games mentioned here.

I mean I tried Mario Galaxy using the nunkchuk, but I couldn't stand more than 10 mins of it, it bothered me that much. I might give it another try in the future, but that's if I decide to invest more time in learning to accept it. Until then I'll just keep my attentions more on the Wii U and see what that might have to offer.

Muramasa the Demon blade is VERY FREAKIN WORTH IT. It's a balls to the wall awesome sidescrolling action game, and one of THE best wii games out there. If you've played Odin Sphere, it's like they took that game, made it 100 times faster, deeper and more fun, and then set it in feudal japan.

And of course, Xenoblade is one of the best JRPGs ever. It would be THE best I've ever played, had it not decided to drag out the awesome conclusion and tack on a good 3-4 hours of extra game time that didn't feel needed. That one complaint aside, it's a downright masterpiece.

Oh, and Okami.

!@#$ yes Okami. LOVED that game. it's like Zelda, but with a goddess-wolf as the main character, and with a fantastic battle system. The only big problem is that the game is a WEEEE bit easy. I only had trouble with one early boss. Once I had a celestial pouch for food, I never saw that game over screen again.

Get muramasa. It's a sidescrolling AWESOME action game, and you don't even need to waggle ONCE. I could literally cross my arms with the wiimote in hand and it was super comfy. And you CAN use other controllers, although I found the wiimote most comfy.
