The clue is in the name. TEAM Fortress 2. If these people don't understand that, you're better off playing with others.

I can't actually play TF2 good, not because of my skills as a gamer but my PC and I get constant crap for it.
I now only play offline.

Do you think that people migrating from CoD / Counter-Strike or other FPSs ruined/drastically changed TF2?

I think it makes it tough to run a pitched battle when half your team seem to be sniping as Medics, but then you should be able to adapt.

Honestly I think that some team fortress game modes do encourage players to work on their own and play for themselves, but honestly, doing that is fun. Some of my best times of playing tf is from dicking around on plr hightower. If you want to play a more "cooperative" type of game, I'd recomend capture points, attack/defense/payload. Games modes like KoTH just encourage the solo mindset.

I haven't had any issues. I've been playing it fairly frequently lately and my teams always seem to work well together and do what needs to be done. Every team will always have the solo players here and there, but that's nothing new.

I generally play on minigame servers, as the people there are playing for fun, and when they do legitimate game modes, they actually seem to play them the way they're supposed to.

Not entirely serious, maybe.

I chose my favorite gamemode which happens to be King of the Hill and started playing. I switched 3-4 server until I just had enough.

Everyone was playing for themselves, no one even thinking that it's a damn TEAM DEATHMATCH game! I was the only one, THE ONLY ONE! of my team that was going after the checkpoint! The others were winning because they had 3 guys that were after the checkpoint! Even if on the other servers I wasn't the only one doing it, at least 2/3 of the team was faffing about killing people far away from the checkpoint. On one server there were people spawn camping! SPAWN CAMPING? IN TF2? I actually shouted at one point "Guys lets go to the checkpoint!"...I was actually told to "shut up noob".

I left Counter Strike because of this...because of the "SHUT UP N00B LOL FAG!", "STOP SNIPING ME GAY ASSHOLE" and the likes...Now I don't ask of the people that play TF2 to be really kind to me and say "may I" and "thank you" before and after shooting me point blank in the face...but I really don't need to be called a fag/asshole/and the likes in my one day of when I can enjoy a game for 2 hours!

I ask of the community here which seems to enjoy Valve games more than others and at the same time is filled with many nice persons: (TL;DR here) Do you think that people migrating from CoD / Counter-Strike or other FPSs ruined/drastically changed TF2?
As a longtime player of TF2, I can honestly tell you that this can be typical sometimes. It depends a lot on the server you find. As others have said, some servers are frequented by idiots, bad players, and all-around dipshits. And I'd hate to break it to you, but KotH servers are the worst for this.

That's because KotH is the closest thing to a deathmatch that vanilla can ever get to. Small maps, the action begins immediately, and I find that in my experience the game just divulges into a killfest. The only times this is consistently untrue is when the map switches from a conventional objective game of Payload or Push maps where both teams are working together, to a KotH map.

It's nothing new. I've been in servers on a team so shitty that I have to state the obvious like "Stop the cart" - "Stay on the point" - "more spychecking" then getting promptly told to stfu. It happens, it varies, etc. Perhaps you just had bad luck for a while (I do too sometimes) but my advice is to keep a close eye on the servers.

I usually have Redflags that clue me in to a shitty server that can potentially land on my blacklist:
32 players
Instant-respawn
Quake Sound Effects
RTD
Both teams having around 3-4 spies/snipers and not a single medic
Doorman is God
NightTeam
Saigns

^Stuff like that are big clues when I'm going to fucking hate the experience I have in those servers, and I consistently do fucking hate the experiences I have there. Try and keep a close eye on any server you join for any telltale signs of douchebaggery going on and either don't join, or say nothing and get out.

Spawn camping?
If you're playing an attack/defense map or payload, that's known as RED team.
If you're playing any other map, it's known as "get an uber in the resupply and push out".

This also may be part of your problem, badly ran servers = bad player expierence.
Also add LotusClan to that list

I recently started playing TF2 again also and I haven't noticed people like that. Sure there are people who's main objective is to go after kills, but it's usually in the format to help those going after the objective.

There is one thing I've noticed since the F2P conversion: being a spy got a lot easier ^_^

I'm F2P as well, and while I can't say they changed the game, I have a hard time believing teams before had an average of 3-4 crappy spies and 0 medics(or a medic that helped the team rather than hid behind the Heavy).
When I last played(stopped when the random drops were introduced) I was often the only medic in the server and the person I healed often didn't even bother to protect me.
