Been lost in the WoW a little too much lately (read: the last 3 years or so), and now gone so sick of it I don't want to touch it with a ten foot pole.

So while I wait for Assassins Creed 2 to hit the PC market (no I don't have consoles), anyone got any recommendations for me? Something that can keep me occupied until march? No RTS's please, tend to loose interest in max a day.

If you like football (soccer) Championship Manager is a good time sink. It has that annoyingly addictive "just one more match" feeling all over it.

Audiosurf. There was a bit of a buzz about this game and then it died down. I have no idea why.

You could try Borderlands. Rather cool FPS-RPG.

Well, since you used to play WoW, I would reccomend an RPG.

A nice cheap RPG is Arx Fatalis (3 pound on Steam), Deus Ex is an FPS/RPG hybrid going for around five pounds on Steam and S.T.A.L.K.E.R Shadow of Chernobyl is an FPS with RPG elements set in an irradiated wasteland filled with mutants and violent assholes, for seven quid or so, on Steam.

In fact, you can probably find a lot of good stuff just by going on steam and clicking the "games under 4/7 pounds" buttons.

Fallout 3 and Black & White 2 are what I'm currently playing on my new PC, but you could also check out stuff like Spellforce, or the C&C games

Darn. Guess I'll have to reinstall Steam then... Now what was that username/password I had there again?

Also, I've played the STALKER and Fallout 3. Tried Oblivion, never really liked it. Anyway, plenty of recommendations here, so thanks a bunch.

Dragon Age: Origins. Clocked up well over 100 hours playing it until I had to force myself away from it to revise for exams. And I still want more.

I don't know how many oldies have you done, but I assume you don't want anything earlier than those 3 years ago you started with WoW.

Kingdom Of Loathing, goofy text turn based. It's heavily satirical and funny as hell.
