Single-player, immersive drunk games

I do a fair bit of drinking. I'm hankering for a really engrossing game to play all by my lonesome. What are some good ones for everyone here? Some of mine, in no particular order of merit or recency are:

- Xcom (Long war but with the level restart option on because I am a fanny)
- Bastion
- Geometry Wars
- Fire Emblem
- Syphon Filter
- Arkham Asylum
- Persona 4 Golden
- Skyrim (with whatever mods I happen to have at the time)

Any recommendations for single-player just-back-from-the-pub type games?

Well, GTA V is usually a good time in short bursts. Recently got the PC version and the first person mode is really quite impressive and immersive. You need to tweak the options slightly but when you do you can play it as a straight first person shooter.

Also, few games to me are rarely as satisfying as playing Doom. More specifically the Project Brutality mod:

I used to play drunk Championship Manager/Football Manager. That was always fun for me, yelling at my fake players when they failed to perform and then fining them 2 week's wages for no reason. Or, alternatively, celebrating wildly whenever my team scored.

It's good for drinking games, too. If your team scores, drink. If the other team scores, drink twice to drown your sorrows. If you have a player sent off finish your drink. Works on many levels!

My favourite drunk game is Theme Park. I've only found it on GOG (no steam version I'm afraid).

I find things far more amusing drunk and filling up your park with workers dressed up in stupid outfits is already fun by itself. Because the game is quite old the AI is a bit lackluster meaning they will walk down a pathway that leads nowhere only to have to walk all the way back again. Strange things like this amuse when after a few to drink.

My favorite and best drunk game is dumb ways [http://ola.mobi/dumb-ways-die-2-games/]. It is a single player game but you can play with your friends, one after the other. This game is full of fun when we play here at home. What we do is to drink 3 slips after you lose but you can make your own rules

If you're feeling grouchy while drunk, Max Payne 3 is a good option. I did that once, had a real angry drunken bender. It made it perhaps a little too easy to identify with Max, but it sure made the game a lot more satisfying. I was completely smashed though so I can barely remember anything from the story.

The right answer is Far Cry 2.
When you ran over enough Giraffes and Antilopes and finally crash your car you will find yourself running around the landscape for extended periods of time looking for camps which you can then proceed to attack. Then you either die an repeat or somehow succeed to then try and find your way back to town. On the way you will swim. Stare at your map. Take the bus. Try to sneak by guardposts. Try to attack guardposts. Try out all kinds of ways to kill people. Etc.
it's almost like Far Cry 2 was made with the drunk gamer in mind.
