I'm thinking 70% single-player, 30% multi-player. I love single-player, but don't disregard the multi-player either. I get bored of multi-player fairly quickly though unless it's really interesting, or I'm playing with friends. I'll play just about any game as long as at least one of my friends I frequently talk to is playing it. It's part of the reason I love co-op so much.

I'm mostly a SP guy... I love me some nice storytelling in my games, which isn't quite possible in MP. I have to say, though, that I have lost a fuckton of hours between TF2 and a F2P MMO which I would rather not point out (for reasons...).

It varies from month to month. Most months I'll mostly play multiplayer, but there are times where I'll play a slightly larger amount of single player.(like when Skyrim came out)

Mostly SP. Only MP if it's co-op or head-to-head against friends or easy-going people.

60/40 MP to SP. BF3 is about 45% of the total with about 5% Star Trek Online and about 10% Frozen Synapse. The single player is little bits of Strategy Games, mostly Civ V, X-Com, and Silent Storm and a hell of a lot of FIFA 12. I'm loving FIFA at the moment. I know it has an online component, but I'm not interested in it.

Looks like the majority of people here play mostly single player then. Not surprising really, I'd have thought that the PC would be more of a single player platform. (and from a poll a few months back most people on here use PC's).
Overall I've spent about 50:50 MP:SP, mostly due to Reach and Halo 3. Recently though I've been enjoying single player a whole lot more, although I still play the odd Sins game with my friends, as well as Tribes and Pokemon Online a little more regularly.
Wait, what? Shoot no, man, online multiplayer got its start on the PC, and it's still best on the PC. Consoles have the edge on couch based multiplayer, but PC is kind of /the/ online gaming platform.

That said, it's a well known fact that the users of this site generally prefer single player games. They also hate Facebook and other social networking sites. In other words, we've got an unusually high number of anti-social people, or at least people who don't like socializing on computers. Weird when you consider that that's what these forums are for, but that's how it is.

I guess my perceptions may have been a little skewed, given that this site is pretty much my only contact with other people who use computers. Most of my gaming friends use consoles exclusively. Thanks for setting me straight on that one.

90/10 multi to singleplayer ratio. I just really enjoy games like tf2 and dota 2, y'know? But only when I'm playing with a friend or two will I even bother.

Single player probably 95% of the time I just find it more fun generally. I dont really enjoy playing with random strangers and getting a few friends online together at the same time with the same game is a huge hassle plus if we are free at the same time odds are we will be out anyway.

I do play some fighting game multiplayer on occasion but I tend to find the idea of multiplayer is generally more fun than the reality.

i like single player games the most but i do play a few F2P MMOG's with my friends so its maybe 90:10 split with SP taking the big share and i almost never touch the MP modes in the single player games i do play so i tend to pick games with a good campaign and story and if there is no MP mode bonus because the SP is likely to be better

Well, i play both. Tho lately, i think I´ve played more multiplayer games and such than singleplayer ones.
League of Legends, Call of Duty, Battlefield BC2, Killing Floor...
Then again, I play singleplayer games as well, like Mount and blade: warband, Osu!, and some other stuff. Still, i think lately I´ve played more mutliplayer, so I´d guess the percents are something like 60%-40%. At least that`s my guess.

How about games that should either be single player or multiplayer but not both unless it doesn't sacrifice any part of one for the other

Fair bit of tf2, only shooter I play online
Depends on whats new
