Singleplayer diehards: What would it take to get you to play an MMO?

A solid an dsupported by develeper roleplaying community. Thats all i ask for from MMO devs really. I want RPers not to be treated like sub-grade of gamers that is only tolerated to exist on their puny server, and sometimes even not that much.
I know i can resort to use of *despcriptions* for all the lacking content, but the less i have to do it, the more fun of actual game i can have, i can *play* that way through chats already, for free!
Let me create my own stories, let me infulence the world, let me kill random npcs that piss off and be hunted by collective of player rather than forcing me to listen to "lolz" and "gief gold plx kthxbye" all the damn time.Getfew, even voulnteer GMs to actually provide spontaneous content with vanity rewards every some time.
AO had it in a way, SWG had at least player housing and player quests, stop ignoring RPers:<

A command and conquer mmo :D or maybe even Battlefield or Modern Warfare. I can't stand the current MMO's where you have to constantly level up by killing things...oh wait that's cod, 4,5,6 and bf 2, 2142 and bc2 uhh, never mind. Oh sweet, i've already got my MMO, it just isn't persistent, which sux.

I simply wish that the world would realise that WoW was *not* the perfect, unimprovable refinement of the MMORPG formula, and that it's actually mind-numbing repetitive drivel. There is a vast ocean of innovation just waiting to be explored in the world of MMOs, but for some reason every single developer just wants to create a WoW knockoff (and by "for some reason" I of course mean "to try and rake in barrel-loads of cash")

Eve Online has touched on the right direction with its player-driven economy and politics, but the rest of the game is still mind-numbingly conventional.
What is needed is a game where the entire content is player-driven, and as other people have pointed out, where actions carry consequences. Imagine a game where a carefully orchestrated master-plot could result in the destruction of an entire player-built city! That would in turn give real incentive to players to police their achievements, and you'd create a wonderful dynamic world of bitter conflict and constantly changing situations.
