Seems there hasn't been many new articles these past few weeks.

Is something up? Are they building up for something big?

Pretty much this. You don't close an office and relocate across a continent without having it effect quantity of production. In a few months things will be back to normal.

If you give a look at the weekly schedule, you'll see most of the site's contributors have been laid off.
