Besides the Escapist, I just discovered TvTropes a couple of days ago. I think it might be turning into an addiction....

Paste Magazine [http://www.pastemagazine.com/]. This is actually my primary site for finding new music. Their tastes are pretty similar to mine (that is to say they skew towards folk, punk, and they also respect bluegrass).
Project Gutenberg [http://www.gutenberg.org/wiki/Main_Page]. This site compiles public domain books, poems, and the like and provides them all free of charge. A good many works here are on my Kindle.
