Yes sir! Streetlight Manifesto is a great band in my eyes, with songs like We Will Fall Together [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ije7d6xckSs] and Down, Down, Down at Mephisto's Café [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fvbn3FJwqDo&feature=related]. I listen to it a lot nowadays, one of my fav bands.

Skatalittes, Specials, Toots and the Maytals, The Beat, The Selector, Bad Manners... lotsa stuff out there. Really though, there's a few different varieties of Ska around. You have the original stuff like the Skatalittes and the early Reggae/ska overlaps, the Ska revival stuff that happened late 70s/early 80s and you have ska punk. Which is terrible. (In my slightly elitist opinion anyway :p).

Funny this should come up, since I just got the tickets for seeing the Specials' homecoming gig about half an hour ago through the post.

Everything this guy just said. Reel Big Fish is a personal favorite of mine. Their cover of "Take on Me" is one of the best covers I've ever heard, and their song Beer is a great song to listen to if you're trying to get over a chick.

Reel Big Fish, Mustard Plug, Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Catch 22 (Streetlight Manifesto) are some good ones. Can't think of more right now, tired.

Saw Reel Big Fish play live in Falmouth.... they were freaking epic.

Random Hand and Suburban Legends played as well and they were kick ass.

Ska just sounds like punk to me.
Doesn't mean I don't like it, I just don't like how 10 different names are made for the same-sounding genre. (Not just ska either, I'm talking music in general).

The guys who did "All Star" (Smash Mouth) used to be ska. apparently.

My favorite ex-ska band is the Aquabats. They've changed quite a bit, though.
